The future featherweight champ Yuriorkis Gamboa"el ciclon de guantanamo" will be back on saturday against Marcos Ramirez, undefeated mexican warrior.I'm hoping for Gamboa to perform an spectacular win to see him fighting Larios for the title in a few months.:happy

He's fighting someone with a 26-0 record who's never been down. This is a BAD card with two other headline fighters, and not a lot of moeny to go around for opponents. What exactly did you expect? Ramirez is a bit of an unknown, but for all we know he could be a stiffer test than Jimenez.

He's not a stiffer test than Jimenez. I've seen him on ESPN a few times. Ramirez is a decent fighter, but hasn't beaten anyone of note, and does nothing exceptionally well. He fought Adailton De Jesus (who Gamboa stopped in 6 rounds) on Wednesday Night Fights last year, and Teddy Atlas had De Jesus winning. Ramirez is the fighter who works as a firefighter and had a newborn son who passed away.

I hope Gamboa scores another highlight reel KO, like the last one against Al Seeger. btw Alfredo Angulo on there too, he has a stiffer test against Andrey Tsurkan. Sergio Martinez the most avoided Light Middleweight is in the Main event.

Thanks for the update. Was wondering when he would be fighting next.

I have never seen his opponent before but he does appear to have a padded record. Still, its not a bad opponent for someone with so little pro experience.

Can't wait. I don't expect it to be a long fight though.
