What do you think? Is Margarito in his prime, or is he slowing down?

I think he has 8 more quality fights left in him. Plenty of time to clean up the division.

    Chin
    Power
    Workrate

These are the main aspects of Magarito's success. If these hold out he could last a while, though he could well lose to Clottey or Williams in the near future.
Its not like he is relying on reflexes or speed, he is just mows forward until the other guy breaks.

I mean Yory Boy is still going, getting an upset every now and then.

Weight may be an issue soon though.

Margarito has a few good fights left in him. I think 3-5 depending on how brutal they are. He can't do many more fights like that Cotto one. And some believe that one took a lot out of him. And as much **** as I talk about him, I admit he really does need to take a breather for a few more months. I hate to see these guys permanently damaged with nothing to show for it.

Margo is at the end of his prime, and I think he knows this. thats why he was wanting that fight with DLH so bad. He's got 4-5 good fights left IMO.

Margarito has never been the fastest guy, but his mobility and handspeed were amazingly slow at different points in his fights against Williams, the second fight with Cintron, and the Cotto fight. Literally, he looked like he was in slow motion during certain sequences. If he can't break down the opponent, from here on out, he's going to have a tougher time than seen in years past, IMO. All relatively tough, relatively durable, relatively quick, relatively skilled customers have a decent chance of outpointing him. But they have to take the heat, alot of heat.

i think he has about three. i think the cotto fight might have damaged marg more than we think. plus his next two to three fights will no doubt be against top ww's. With that in mind after three i think he will not necessarily be shot but definitely will slow down quite a bit

Interesting, any reason why? We haven't seen Margarito in action since that fight. According to Margarito he's been hit much harder by several, at least, of his other opponents. Perhaps that fight wasn't as taxing as it looked. Perhaps it was. But Margarito has seemed to indicate that it wasn't.

Depends out how many punches he takes, but punches from Cotto and other with his power does not bother Margarito.

He doesn't fight the kind of fight you need to last a long time.

5 at the most, less if he is invovled in any more wars like the Cotto fight.

    A good five more

If his chin holds up he could have more than that, but if his chin lets him down it will be game over
