    for all our sakes.

im sick of hearing from his nuthugging fans how good he is and how great he is.

when i truely believe watching PBF fight is like watching paint dry.
look i got into boxing to watch two men fight in the ring not to watch a pure defensive mind set were he throws just enough punch's to win a round.

in a time were boxing is at its most crutial with up and coming sports like MMA were there i none stop action how will our sport survive.

i know most on this board will say but what about the sweet science. well i say i didnt start watching boxing so i could see fights like ODH-PBF or Taylor - Spinks.
I started watching boxing because of Fenech vs Nelson and Tyson vs Holmes or Hagler vs Hearns.

also if PBF retires would he be really that missed in the game were he thinks its more important to fight older guys for more money and aviod the best Prime fighters out there.

Guys like Joe Louis,Rocky Marciano,Ray Robinson,Henry Armstrong and co must be rolling around in there graves at what there sport has become of greedy dicks like PBF.
PBF says he only wants a rematch against an even older ODH for more money again instead of actually testing himself against a actual Prime fighter.
even guys like Hagler,Hearns,Leonard,Duran must be laughing at what has become of the P4P guy at the moment.

i mean even Roy Jones although great tested himself against more prime fighters than what PBF does and one other thing Jones did he gave anyone that wanted a fight he fought them.
Jones wasnt concerned with money he was concerned with legacy and how he won and at least he gave his fans something to cheers about with not only having skills but being able to stand toe 2 toe when he felt like it.
all PBF does is bob and weave and throw a punch here and there. i havnt seen PBF look good since Gatti but Gatti was slower than a snail so this goes to PBF and there fans.
Retire PBF for all our sakes because me i would rather see you out of boxing than have to here about awesome you think you are against old slow guys.

What's the problem? If you don't like PBF, don't watch his fights. Why should it matter if he retires or not? PBF is a very good fighter, btw. I guess I'm a nuthugger?

Hahaha a very angry and frustrated boxing fan you are. But I agree with you. I hate PBF and his style. Very boring style which leads to boring fights. And after 12 boring rounds, he goes off talking trash and nonsense of how great he is and pimping his UD win. Oh brother.

what he is the best according to his fans. but if was to ask a casual fan would you watch Floyd Mayweather most would say who is he.
most casual fans dont even know who he is.
UFC isnt that bad to tell you truth. i love boxing but what i do hate is someone involved in boxing that has no heart or respect for the sport itself. that is PBF allover. sorry its just the truth i mean if you were to ask what is Manny in the sport for he would say the love of it and the money is just a bonus.

PBF's response would be a heartless one like he normally gives.
i cant help if his fans dont see how heartless he is and how much respect he shows a sport that has given so much to him.

PBF is like Paris Hilton you just wish she would shut up and dissappear. sorry but the truth hurts sometimes.

i really really hope he stays in the sport, i think he is pretty boring sometimes but lets face it - if you want to watch the more "boxer" type of fighter then PBFis abuot the best your gonna get.

Good point. Some people do prefer to watch the "boxers" instead of those other exciting fighters out there. Its just preference. But most if not all casual fans would pick a fighter and not a boxer for more entertainment value:bbb

I could be just as shallow as you and call you a savage, claiming your interest in the sport is only because you like to see people get hit in the face.

I'll not do that. What I will do is say that boxing needs both -- the sweet science, the grit, heart and determination, the footwork, headfeints, sound tactics. You can't pick and choose -- a fighter has to maximize his chances of winning. It's a competition first and foremost, after all.

Agreed. The only reason most of his nuthuggers exist on here is because they see him as some sort of vehicle to battle their own insecurities.

He's a proud, cocky, beautiful black man as far as they're concerned.

I've never seen anyone else on here describe their favourite boxer as being proud, cocky, beautiful and black

These ***s are pissweak mother****ers...it's all about 'vicariousness' - just a pity they too dumb to unnerstan wot dat mean, gnome sayen :yep

I don't want Pretty Boy to retire, because he's raising the bar for all the contenders. He's good, really good, but I wouldn't want to miss seeing the guy who comes along with just the right style to really give Floyd a run for his money. It will happen, it always does.

Mayweather at 140 lbs and lighter was awesome to watch. 147 and up has been highly unentertaining. Not that I don't appreciate his quickness, because I do, but he just doesn't mix it up like he used to.

Lately all we get from Floyd is a bunch of talk about how great he is. Yes, he beat DLH, and the match-up favored him. But if he truly is great, then he needs to stick around and prove it. He is still young, and fights with Mosley, Cotto, Hatton, Etc. need to happen before "greatness" is secured. If he is not going to make these fights, and keep talking about how "fighter A or B" doesn't present enough of a money making oppurtunity, then yes, he should just go ahead and retire, because I'm already tired of hearing it.

Yeah just retire already ..Funny but his resume down the strecth really became padded ..Too bad I was defintly on the Mayweather bandwagon on his way up but the ride got boring so I had to get off .

I have never heard so much public out cry for a fighter to quit already being in the prime of his career ..Indicitave on how he has hurt his own legacy ..
