    I don't think the thread starter means head to head like a fight lol. Just comparing the two, they are so similiar it is amazing. Lopez fought good comp, not the best so he was on the attack. People always asked how would he do against Carbajal and others. He finally did move up late and he did struggle with a prime Alvarez, but he did win the rematch. Juan Marquez fought more formidable guys, and became a beautiful counterpuncher and when J.M.M did fight aggressive, he fought like El Finito. Lopez was probably faster though. They are a product of Beristan, and they both could fight:yep ;)

    No he means that whos fighting style would prevail in a p4p sense,it does'nt matter what weightclass.

    it is unproper etiquette when you say "just a little play" and follow it up with the word "Pac-lovers". Is it really necessary to say that? When you say something like that, you come off as being a smartass and trying to stir up trouble when its not necessary. You can state your own opinion on things without namecalling, y'know.

    And before you say I'm being biased in here, just know that I did the same thing to a couple of Pac-tards on a respect thread for JMM(which had nothing to do with Pac whatsoever) when they brought up Pac and tried to put down JMM. I just think its unnecessary to have all this namecalling and pointless swipes, since we can easily have a good discussion without it.

    People can't say it was a schooling because it was NEVER a schooling in the first place. Aside from round 8, JMM never won a round easily. There were rounds where its a close but clear win for either of them but the other guy was ALWAYS a couple of hits away in stealing those rounds.

    No way in hell was it a schooling of any sort!

    Of course not. When I say who's better H2H, I mean't who's the better fighter with respect to the opponents they've faced on their OWN weight class. Who comes off as the more proficient fighter in fighting and/or beating their opponents.

    I kinda don't want to say who's the more "skilled" fighter because depending on your definition of "skill", for me a guy can be a better fighter than another guy without being more "skilled" or technically skilled. You know what I mean?

    This is not a fight between JMM and RL by any means folks.

    The only thing I didnt like about Lopez was that he was ****ing small. Why couldn't he be 3 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier. With his skill set he would have beat all the Mexican greats and Paq. We can only dream though. Lopez is by far one of the best H2H along with Roy Jones.

    Oh, well Lopez looked better, but J.M.M fought the tougher comp. It is just too hard for me to pick who is better H2H lol...I can't pick. Ok, I go with El Finito...

    I think you being a Pac fan, you're a little sensitive on the matter of any opinion that does'nt praise Pac.

    Truthfully my point to bring Pac's name onto this thread was to correlate the difference between JMM and Lopez.....but along with making that point, I'm conscious of the fact that there is a rivalry between diehard JMM fans and diehard Pac fans.
    Although this is a boxing forum to debate boxing, you need to lighten up Sting and not try to be so politically correct to the point that you cant needle or playfully make a remark that would catch the attention of your rivals to the other opinion.

    My record as a poster around here speaks for itself. I dont go around calling everyone and their momma "****you" because I disagree with them, or be as insensitive and stupid as to say that the fighter I'm picking is going to make their fighter their *****.
    Clearly I dont go trolling around this board for the sake of disrupting debate.
    I've certainly have'nt caused that in this thread, as people are still opiniating on the thread topic and you're the only one offended!

    I'm sorry that you felt offended Sting, but I'm certainly not sorry for any of the comments that I've made in this thread!

    Where are you domngo?

    domngo was one that I saw was growing in his knowleadge of the sport. A diehard Pac fan that was slowly coming to the realization that Pac was human!
    I always did like domngo....he took some pokes at JMM, but he could laugh at when someone took a poke at Pac!

    Well this "rivalry" has been going on for months now really. And it consisted mostly of name callings and bashing and all those sort of stuff it really gets old and tiring. It would've been ok if it consisted of mostly solid and relevant discussions concerning the 2. But you and I both know its not the case. All I see is fans from both sides taking swipes at each other. Honestly, who wouldn't get tired and annoyed by that?

    And if I was sensitive I would've done this a long time ago. I would've been on each and every JMM fans' throat for every single put down they do on Pac. But its not the case at all. I usually just let that go and move on. But sometimes you gotta ask yourself, when is enough truly enough(for both sides)? It just is not that necessary anymore at this point in time. Its childish.

    And yes, all those *******s where banned by the mods. I don't know why but the mods just suddenly booted them off. And I think its for the better, we don't need those clowns here.

    I'm suprised that they were booted.....some of them probably did'nt deserve it.

    Its sad really, for the very reason that moderators in this forum imo do a very poor job of moderating.

    Some of the very moderators on this board that I've seen throughout the years, have been the ones that use the foulest language and who have reverted to namecalling whenever someone got the better of them in debate.

    Do you know specifically why some of them got banned....was it because of their trolling, were they using foul language, were they just being too disruptive where pertinent debate was going on???

    I'd like to know some of the details....

    Can you imagine, a JMM fan demanding an explanation on why *******s were booted?:lol:

    Quite frankly, I think at least some of them just were Pac fans that did'nt know any better. Some of them probably deserved to stay on and grow their knowleadge in the process.

    I know some of them are here through Aliasis, but its not the same.
    I like to see people stay on with the same forum name.
