Anyone watching the fight this weekend? It's going to be a great night of boxing. This fight won't go 12 rounds for sure, I think Lopez stops Figueroa within 8 rounds. Lopez got some serious power.

    Thought's?

Yes I will be watching this fight online and it won't go past 5 rounds IMO.

Lopez is an excellent little fighter. Kim and Fischer said on their show this week that they expect to see him in the P4P rankings in the next 2 or so years. Fischer said P4P #5 at least. He's one of my favorite fighters at this point, as well as personalities. The kid has charisma, even a non-Spanish speaker like myself can see that.

I agree. This Lopez cat is very impressive. He also has a good amateur backround as well. This kid has a very bright future if he stays focused.:good

It's that show 'The Next Round' that you have to pay $5 monthly membership for at Max******. I resisted paying for the programming they have over there for a long time, but caved eventually. I'm a boxing addict.

Lopez has a very bright future in this game, but something that really bugs me is he should be talked about or featured more especially after his last fight. The reason being is it will push a potential lopez vs vazquez showdown (In which I'm pretty confident lopez will win) the fight that true hardcore boxing fans like myself would love to see. He like someone said is very charismatic, and reminds me of tito in regard to that. For example (I know promotions have a big say in it) but how cool would it have been to have lopez and gamboa as the co-feature for this saturday.

It doesn't really matter for this saturday since Gamboa is headlining the regular HBO card. Two great fights the same night! I hope they both happen at a different time. And just imagine both of them fighting together sometime next year, it would end in spectacular KO, and that is a fact!

Why is this fight even on PPV as a main event?

It should have been on the undercard of any of the big PPV's.

This is more of a mismatch than Abraham vs. Marquez. And to top it, look at the pricing: $34.95...wtf?!

Juanma is definetly something else. Good boxing school. Excellent power. Speaks very well in front of the cameras(In spanish). And he even understand some english.
He is married and have like four kids. He knows what he wants and is not wasting time. I wish Alex "El Pollo" Dejesus could follow his example.
Above all, he has the right attitude. The media in PR is asking him question like: Juanma, In what round are you going to knock him out??? And he is answering this like: "I am not going to be fighting by myself. The guy has two hands and is comming to fight. I am concentrating on being ready for whatever he brings".

:good You are right! But it's not the boxer's fault. Just take a look at who is behind the boxer.

Hell yeah, Juanma knows that people expect him to KO Figueroa within 3 rounds, I just hope he doesn't lose his concentration though I think he will win within 5

You're right. This kid has great talent and all the attributes to make it to stardom in boxing but then again look at his build-up it's neither Trinidad or Cotto-like. No big TV exposure in the US - this will close some doors for him that might be hard to open for him in the future (at least it will take some time...).
