was it just me or did that ring seem tiny. haye looked good. but we won't know until he's hit flush by a heavyweight .
You would of thought he would of wanted a large ring though, anyway that first jab the power on it was crazy :yep
Its not about bonin atsch I was reffering to the speed and power of haye at 215, nothing to do with sparking bonin in a round :think
He's mostly got away with hanging his left hand by his waist at cruiser weight where he has height and reach advantages. Against heavyweights who are taller than him, with longer reaches, he's going to learn very quickly how bad his defence really is.
The Klitschkos would have destroyed Bonin in the exact same way. 1-2. But nonetheless, it showed that Haye is a top tier heavyweight.
I see the same comment all the time "Wait until Haye gets hit by a Heavyweight". Truth is, Mormeck , and a few other guys Haye fought hit as hard as most heavyweights. There is often too much emphisis put on weight and size rather than natural power and technique. Cruiserweight is a made up division . Before the days of this phony category, many of the champions and contenders hovered around 200 and less. Not that there weren't big guys around , but Abe Simon being 6' 5", 250, and Primo Carnera's 6"6" 260, didn't help much against Joe Louis, who was right around 200. Dempsey was 13 pounds under Cruiserweight , but still managed to almost kill huge Jess Willard. For all his size , Valuev doesn't seem to have any overwhealming power. Haye is going to go through all these soft, chubby Russians, the glass jawed champ, and the ordinary Peter with relativly little problems.
Haye's got one of the best, if not THE BEST 1-2's in the business, i dont care what kind of opponent he's in against nobody's gonna walk through that ez, if it all.....
When I first saw the fight that was my initial thought, that looks like a ring that belongs in boxing gym.
two of his best cruiserweight victories were against opponents with height and reach advantage (gurov and maccarinelli)
he wont lose.....every year 3 of my fighters lose Cotto and Judah already lost......and Pac's a walking lost ready to happen so that means Haye's gonna win
