What's with all this "Cotto had a bad gameplan" excuses all about!!!???

and your right...Cotto basicly cant beat Margarito in a 12 round fight.

10? possibly, 8 probably....but not in a championship fight he cant keep up what he would need to.:deal

 

I'm sure the broken nose wasn't a part of the plan and up until the later rounds his plan was working quite nice.

 

i agree with fitz. a broken nose takes a lot out of you, specialy your breathing!

 

He could've purposely held more. That would've helped. I'm not saying him doing this would've helped him win but it would've certainly helped.

 

he needs to build stamina and then he would beat margo by points


but since he probably wont be able to do that....he wont beat margo ever and will get slept again

Cotto do to certain disadvantages will not be able to beat Margarito in a rematch. I would not be shocked if Margo stops him faster the next time. It is simply a styles make fights type of thing.

I'm not making excuses but his stamina and endurance was effected by the broken nose ... he was pawing at it after the first round. He was breathing through his mouth for 10-11 rounds. He's not trained to breath through his mouth for 12 rounds and he's never trained with a broken nose.

I'm sure the rematch would be different ...

 

Taking constant body punches and getting brutalized against the ropes also takes a lot out of you. Cotto lost the fight in the 2nd round when he tried to got toe to toe and realized he couldnt hurt Margarito with anything he threw, and then got doubled over by a rib shot and had his nose busted.

It was all downhill from there

 

Again!!!!!

Cotto will go to the body early and often.
Cotto will keep the fight in the center of the ring.
Cotto will neutralize the uppercuts.
Cotto will back Margie up.
Cotto's stamina will not be an issue with "Excessive Training" this time.
Cotto can adjust game plans....he has demonstrated that in almost every fight.

Margie cannot change his style....he EATS every blow coming in.
( so he has rocks for a brain you nuthuggers are proud of...big deal)

Cotto will win rematch and unfortunately Margie will **** blood the following days.

 

.....right...and Hatton will win a rematch with Mayweather

and Trinidad wouldda won a rematch with Hopkins

and blah blah blah....Cotto wasnt doing all that good....inspite of how hard HBO was hugging Cottos nuts Margo had him beat early you could see it in his facial expressions he KNEW he wasnt gonna win that fight

theres no way Cotto becomes Floyd Mayweather. hes still gonna get caught and take too many body punches and hes still gonna get knocked arround the ring and taken out in the latter rounds.

Cotto can change it up A LITTLE but you guys keep acting like hes gonna come out as Ali VS Foreman....

Not ****ing happening. Margarito is the stronger man by far. Cotto is a strong fighter but he doesnt have the overwhelming physicality to back up Margarito. No one has backed up Margarito

His stamina wasnt an issue. Him getting his nose broken and his internal organs rearranged is what slowed him down

Not "almost" every fight. What gameplan can he possibly switch to? He fought a tremendous fight and got beaten by the tougher fighter.

Yeah its a big deal. Unlike Cotto who has been stunned and hurt before Margaritos chin is ****ing granite and he can eat huge shots and just keep coming. Id say that a pretty important asset to have in boxing
