Do you admit that the only reason you believe Sam Peter will win is due to Vitali's possible ring rust from his inactivity?

Do you recognize that talent-for-talent, Vitali is the vastly superior fighter; that if Vitali is even close to the form shown in the Sanders/Johnson/Williams fights, that Sam Peter will be beaten easily?

Yeah Peter KO 5-7 mainly due to Vitalis ring rust. Id fancy an active Vitali to stop Peter around 10-12 or score a wide UD.

Of course. No one in their right mind would pick Peter over a prime Vitali. But I'm a firm believer in the corrosive effects of ring-rust, so I think it's going to be Peter by tko- though I hope to be very wrong. Gotta add, it would be hysterical to see Peter get his loud mouth ktfo in the 1st. That would be classic.

I feel a prime Vitali versus a prime Peter would be a good fight, though I would slightly favor Vitali based on Peter's lack of focus and adequate training. A prime Vitali would have his hands full, Vitali has never beaten a good fighter in his career, so Peter would certainly be a tough test IMO.

Right now, I feel Peter will get the mid round knockout, too active and too powerful for Vitali at this stage in his career, it will be interesting fight though.

What power? What decent fighter has he ever KOed? I can only think of one and he has a Glass Jaw. Why is Peter's so called "power" a non factor when he fights decent fighters?

The same could be said for Vitali as well, right? At least Peter beat the champ and knocked him out, Vitali's best win is over journeymen Corrie Sanders.

Vitali has stopped more rated fighters than Peter has. That is easy to see. Peter's best KO is Maskaev or Jeremy Williams. Think about that for a second. Both have horrible Glass Jaws.

You don't even know what a glass jaw is...a glass jaw means as soon as you get hit with one good punch you are out...

...if you want to copy Zakman's schtick then at least try to be more accurate.

...are you saying Maskaev has no punch resistance...???

If Maskaev has a glass jaw, he should have been laid out by light some hitters...is there a list of light hitters who have KOd Maskaev...???...also, shouldn't he have been stopped in the early rounds in a series of bouts, if he were a glass jaw.

He's been stopped in the early rounds three times in 41 fights...and 6 times total, and they weren't feather fisted.

Or maybe it's his great defense keeping him from being KOd all the time, since afterall his chin is glass...

Maybe you mean something else when you talk glass jaws...if you mean that if you hit his chin all night, you will eventually knock him out...that is not a glass jaw. That's being human.

OLEG is slow, but he is not made of glass.

Zakman will tell you Oleg has a Glass Jaw. Hell Kirk Johnson starched him in 4 rounds.

What happens to Peter's "power" when he fights decent fighters?

I do not admit that the only reason I believe Sam Peter will most surely win is not due to Vitali's certain ring rust from inactivity and physical decay.

I recognize talent-for-talent Vitali is the superior boxer but since this is the true professional and tough game, Vitali should not even compete anymore... In case Vitali is close to the form shown in the Sanders/Johnson/Williams fights, then he has a good chance to outbox Peter but since I know not even Sanders ( at that age) has the punch that Peter has, I guess Vitali needs the old form, a horse and a shield ( not to mention the iron fist).

The lay off is major factor but not the only factor. VK does have more talent...I agree with that. But boxing is not all about talent...its a lot more than that. There are many intangibles and when all of them are summed up I think Peter comes out on top. I think it will be close...like 55-45 Peter.

If VK was in his prime then I would favor him but still wouldnt think it would be an easy fight. VK has never fought a great fighter excluding Lewis and when he did he lost. So it's not like his is some mythical fighter. People brag about him beating Kirk Johnson and Danny Williams. In fact I think Wlad is better than VK. I think Wlad hits harder and has more skill but he doesnt have the chin or mental Make up that VK has.

Nothing happens to it...his accuracy is just exposed against better fighters...
