Didin't the interviewer say Thompson knocked Mads Larsen down in the first round and Thompson said that he did? This knockdown doesn't show up on BoxRec. What's going on? One judge had it 80-72 for Larsen. Was Thompson robbed against Larsen EDIT in Germany?

It has nothing to do with Denmark. Larsen lives in Germany and is fighting in Germany for a German promotor.

But yeah. I haven't seen Larsen-Thompson, so I don't know if the KD in round 1 should be counted as such.

    Can anyone elaborate?

Did the interviewer and Thompson not say he knocked Larsen down in the first round? Because a Danish referee, Jan Christensen, gave the fight to Larsen 80-72!

I don't know, but I know that the fight was in Germany, for a German promotor, on German TV etc. It was not in Denmark, no involvement with any Danish promotor or manager and not on Danish TV. The ref have been Danish though - I have no idea.

    Did you watch the fight?:huh

No. Perhaps someone from Germany or Denmark who saw the fight can tell us what happened.

I watched the Thompson - Larsen fight, and while it was very boring, there was 0 knockdowns. And Larsen won the fight, it wasn't as close as Thompson makes it out.

By the way, Larsen was knocked down for the first time in his career vs Emiliano Cayetano (whom he fought just before Thompson) in the first round - maybe that's the fighter the interviewer is confusing Thompson with.

It's pretty funny that Thompson goes 'yeah....' after the interviewer says he KD'ed Larsen though :D

As Anders says, Thompson - Larsen was a horrible fight to watch, where Larsen used his arm length advantage to stick jabs to Thompson who was too flatfooted and slow to do anything. But no knock downs.

Maybe Ross is still wobbled after sparring Mikkel...

Strange, because it was the Danish ?? interviewer who said Thompson knocked Larsen down. Thompson just confirmed it in passing. Had the interviewer taken some headshots from Kessler too?

Thompson just took advantage of somebody who he thought was just a casual fan with less knowledge about the boxing scene...

I wonder if Ross could play a role at SMW or LHW now?

Didnt Gonzalez drop him before that?

A few years ago in Denmark. I remember when Gonzalez was coming out as opponant for Danny Green the Danes on here said he was awkward and dropped Larsen before getting stopped.
