I think Morales, Gatti & Pacquiao are the 3 most exciting fighters in the last 10 yrs & I know a lot of fans will include at least 1 of them if asked to name their top 3 most exciting fighters but who was the MOST exciting ? These 3 guys are known among real boxing fans as the ultimate warriors that are rarely in bad fights & dont mind taking a few to give us fans their money`s worth, they all have their own unique fighting style but for me - suprise suprise - its got to be Morales..... I love watching blood & guts fighters with heart & will + I love watching great boxing technicians & I think that Erik Morales is the best mixture of both we have had in the past 10 yrs, he gets my vote as the most exciting boxer. :thumbsup
Has to be morales, simply because he chose to be exciting when most of the time he could have just used his boxing ability.
That sadistic side of me would have picked Gatti...but I went with Pac because he's the best of the bunch.
most exciting in what way? In there prime Morales is clearly the best fighter of ther three. But the most exciting fighter was Gatti, not even close. All his fights were wars and I've never seen anyone who could take as much punishment and still turn the fight around sometimes in the same round as Gatti.
Personally I never really found myself liking Gatti all that much. I have a lot of respect for him. But basically his fights with Ward were the two of them standing in front of each other and lobbing huge hooks back and forth, blocking said hooks with their face, then repeating. To me an exciting fight is something is a brilliant example of boxing ability and a fair amount of action. I just happened to watch Hopkins - Trinidad against this afternoon, as well as Mayweather - Judah and Mayweather - Hatton. To me, all three are GREAT examples of what to me is an exciting fight, and in those cases at least - exciting FIGHTERS!
Arturo Gatti is exciting because he gets the **** beat out of him. Morales will turn southpaw against his most dangerous opponent ever in the last round of a fight he's winning handily, just because he can.
