    I don't blame the ref in a situation like this; I blame the losing fighter's corner. Refs are usually reluctant to stop a fight where a guy is still throwing punches, and Tsurkan was still throwing. Tsurkan's corner should have not let him out after the eighth round. It's THEIR responsibility more than anyone else to protect the fighter.

    I agree. If the ref did stop the fight and Tsurkan was still throwing punches then he would have said it was stopped too early and that he could have won it. Its the fighters corner who is responsible for their man.

    Agreed. This is one of those cases were it made more sense for the corner to stop the fight.

    Corner, ref, doctor, anyone-it would have been nice to see this fight stopped a round or 2 sooner.
