I couldnt believe that Herbie was allowed to lay into his opponent when he was down in round 3 & the ref just stood back & let Hide get away with what he wanted:-(

Wasnt anyone else pissed off with how Herbie was allowed to get away with so much?

Or is the cup of sentimentality overflowing on this forum, as everyone gets bleary-eyed thinking back to the Hide of yesteryear & forgives him for his antics nowadays?

Big Enzo will finish Hides career if they meet. Oh I know its all the rage to laugh at Enzo cos he gout outsped & outgunned by Haye, but Macarinelli would beat just about anyone else at cruiser. His win over Braithwaite is shockingly overlooked. I have always maintained this.

Would be nice to see Enzo Mac finally get rid of the freak show that is Herbie Hide. would silence a few of his doubters in the process.
& as everyone knows, I speak as neutral on the subject, cos I couldnt really care less who wins England v Wales battles!

I just think Enzo has taken such a pasting after his unfortunate loss, hes due a rub of the green. & herbie Hide is his fast ticket back to respectability.

its never going to happen. Haye has left the cruiserweight division behind. Theres a great domestic dustup in store though, hide v big mac! hide looked pretty good actually and still has some miles left on the clock

The Latvian road sweeper was there for a payday and to take a fall. He was not even a half decent opponent.

Good to see Hide still has his big house, I thought the tax man was after his arse. Looks like Herbie managed to keep some of his assets.

Herbie hide can knock out any cruiserweight in the world with one shot, also he can be stopped with one shot :patsch thats the dilema.
He is not the same man he was when he was in his 20's he dosen't dance and isnt anywhere near as fast.

Thing is when he has been ko'd its been up at heavyweight not cruiser and he has gone the distance twice lateley and Seferi can bang a bit.

Also his 4 losses all by stoppage well you got riddick bowe no shame there, vitali klitschko no shame there.

Chingangu he was caught cold and ko'd him in 1 in the rematch, Kulikaukas won after a clash of heads caused a cut and the fight was stopped on that.

So he only has one embarrassing loss really and all at heavyweight not cruiserweight.

The way he moved and turned the punch over for the first knockdown was impressive and would of put most cruisers down. Id personaly give him a chance against any top contender/strap holder in the 200 ilb division at the moment.

Especialy Enzo Mac (sorry flint) the thing is unless he can get himself into a mandatory position who will want to fight him, to much risk not enough reward.

Anyway great to see him back fighting at home :good

I think if Hide catches Maccarinelli it's all over, but he's slow on his feet these days and I think Big mac could get to him first

Enzo-Hide is like Khan-Scrap Iron Ryan at cruiser.

Herbie can still make a huge impression at Cruiser. Mormeck is shot to **** like he showed against Haye. Kraj is slow and boring and Macca is hardly a top 10 fighter.

That was the first time I've seen Herbie Hide fight, he seemed like a fun and interesting charecter, has he always spoke in that slow, odd way? or has boxing messed him up a bit.

He's always been like that to a certain degree, but he does seem to have declined a little bit.
