Amir Khan Support!!!

i hope he comes back from the defeat, one knockout doesnt make a bad fighter. Look at haye, noone really remembers him being knockout. Amir will have some great nights. Anyone can be knocked out. The lad is only what 21? i think he needs some good sparring and better matchups, not keeping him away from big punchers, but putting them in with dangerous hitters!. Because learning defense in the gym is on thing doing in the heat of the fight night is another. If he has that pressure every fight he will learn to keep himself covered up! but i think amir will come again. He is not the first fighter to be knocked out at such an early stage!.

The lad has the tools to be a great fighter, ok he has a bit of a glass chin. he just needs to learn how to keep these dangerous fighters on the end of a long jab setting up the cut on the way in. Or even keeping them at distance altogether with striaght rights and lefts.

 

I would really love it Khan came back and shut all the doubters up. He has some considerable talent for a man so young. However he has no chin and no amount of training and trainer swapping is going to change that, as soon as he steps back up in class (after 4 or 5 'tune ups') he will be ko'd again.
He will never go beyond European title level and that is a shame, if he only had decent chin he has the skills to mix it at the highest level!

Maybe he could be the first to be transplanted with a new chin??

 

I am angry of the little ****, he won the silver medal...well done. But he has had millions poured into his pockets whilst he actually hasnt done anything as a pro.

He has always been the bigger, younger, fresher man in his fights up until Prescott, when he was finallymatched against someone similar to himself and he was found wanting.

James Degale has just won a gold medal but you dont see him being plastered all over the news shoved down our throats, but yet Khan was.

There are good solid professional fighters out there who have paid their dues and never been handed anything to them and they will never make the money Khan has and to be honest that pisses me off.

On a lighter note I dont think Khan will get past Euro level, with hislack of defence and God damn awful chin he may put together a couple of "world class" wins but he will be found wanting again and pretty soon imo.

 

I wish Khan all the best too, but I also hope he learns from his mistakes and accepts his limitations, whilst trying to improve in areas that can be improved. Rematch with Willie Limond sounds great!

Khan got shown up in his last fight.for long enough he has been touted about as being the greatest prospect ever,when most of his fights have come against journeyman.he has everything on a plate .

he is fast and a decent punch,but he has no hunger.maybe he will change this...

 

Big difference though, Haye pounded the **** out of Carl till the KO. Prescott **** on Amir with a poxy jab.

Haye is a realist and does not talk b/s. Amir constantly talks b/s with his wannabe talk about fighting pacman, hatton, Diaz, Nate etc etc. It gets a bit boring when you know the guy is seriously limited by his chin. Yes he has fantastic handspeed but no way will he be able to avoid a punch for a full 12 rounds.

 

Fair play to Amir for his attitude, but I don't think he's in the right job. The chin problem will haunt him time and time again, no matter what he does.

The Prescott loss was simply an accident waiting to happen. The guy was an unknown, unranked novice, yet Khan was a million miles out of his depth.

Maybe another change of trainers and a move to the states might squeeze an extension to his career, but there's a whole load of Breidis Prescotts out there ready to flatten him again. And that's way below world class level.

However i think his chin will cause him problem.think abut him in te rign with joel casaymor,manny paquio etc.they would go through him .khan would need to look at winning a fight over 12 rounder on points

I don't hate Amir Khan, I don't care about early success or money if its warranted. I hope Amir comes back and fights decent opponents and becomes the undefeated, undisputed champion of the world... but theres one problem...its not going to happen. They ****ed up and got humiliated..... While trying to take the **** charging 15 quid for the least qualified PPV in UK boxing history.

And you should have a bit more respect for Willie Limond instead of trying and failing to be funny at his expense.

 

'Jealous' or 'resentful' fits much better into that sentence than 'angry' don't you think?

I mean no-one would actually turn down the 'millions of pounds' if offered, right? No boxer would say 'no actually, I think I'd prefer to fight on non-televised undercards really'. Are there any examples of anyone who did?

You think Degale isn't looking for the best deal available to him (combination of money/opportunity/development etc)? Or that he isn't 'plastered all over the news' because he is resisting the publicity?

You're entitled to your opinion, but at least be honest about your jealousy.

He is a cocky little pr*ck who ran a guy over at the pedestrian crossing whilst the lights were on red and got a six months ban and fine. Put the guy in a bad way - nobody had sympathy for him laying knocked out in the f*cking road did they ?

You show me someone neutral about boxing who was 'upset' and 'didnt p*ss themselves' at Khan's defeat and I will show you a liar.

 

Especially when you consider if the ref had done his job that would of been Khan's first knockout loss.

Destroy any British fighter out there ?, Thaxton, Murray, Mitchell, Lynes........Danny Willams ?, no chance.

Currently Khan is good enough to win the English title and nothing more. He should of been stripped of his Commonwealth title for refusing to face Jon Thaxton but Warren pulled a few strings and all of a sudden things were fine and Thaxton wasn't mandatory.
