just wondering, do you still think thaxton is just "an old man who couldn't hurt a fly"? ;)

He was never that slow with his words when he really was the dancing destroyer. Todays Hide is a mere shadow of what he was when he was whooping Mr Bent and co. His movement and speed have seriously declined.

I find it amazing that this fight was given cruiser status, one of them was nearly 16 stone and the other was 15.1...

Cruiser limit is 14.4, there was not an inch on Hide so how he is going to do cruiser I dont know and quite frankly the idea of him making that weight scres me, what he will ahve to do to his body to get to 14.4 isnt healthy.

I did see it, and that Spanish guy was awful. He didn't do ****.

But Khan is a glass jawed joke even if he's more talented in other areas, which is hardly much better. One shot on that chin and even Thaxton will have him laid out cold.

He's made cruiserweight without any apparant difficulty in his other three fights this year.

Hide being 'too big' for CW is a new one

Hide should not be calling on out Haye who is now on a heavyweight quest

A more realistic target would be Enzo Maccarenelli for the WBO Crusierweight Title

It was clearly event that Herbie Hide, just kept himself ticking for this fight. The guy was a former sparring partner who Hide knew he could beat easily. Herbie Hide is a natural athlete, he will always look in shape, he is not really inclined to put on masses of weight. So taking this into consideration, he was not hit and he made a easy job of a 16 stone slab head. I believe Herbie Hide still has something left with fighters like Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jone's still fighting and having success in old age......"You have to give Herbie Hide a chance"

He's a bad man, very bad man.
