Juanma insinuates Israel Vasquez is running

Umm do you see the fight or the fights because they fought more than one time and yes Mares beat him but was no schooling was a competitive fight, he won the fight because Mares is a better boxer but in the pros i think will be diferent Lopez is now stronger and is now a vey fast figter at amateurs he was way slower.

 

Juanma never said Izzy was running all he said that Izzy is going after a fight with Arce and that he would like a shot at Izzy.

That's been the rumor, and Arce says he's moving up to 118 either way, so it's not like there's that big of a size difference at this point. Honestly, other than a fourth Marquez fight, fighting Arce is pretty much the only other big money option available for Vasquez, so I suspect he'll take that fight.

And FWIW, Mares and Lopez aren't fighting until Mares gets a belt or becomes his mandatory. It would be a huge waste to have a fight between them now when, if you wait for a couple years, it could be a megafight.

 

my thoughts are vazquez beats his ass brutally any time in the next 18 months as does marquez,those two guys are worlds away from ponce de leon.

Amateurs means **** all in the pro's, and if you didn't know this you are a tool. Henry Tillman beat Tyson in the amateurs, and got destroyed within seconds in the pro ring.

Mares is good, very good, but Lopez would knock him the **** out.

first of all no one deserves an EASY FIGHT more than izzy and even if he beats arce easily which he will, i STILL wouldnt characterize it as an EASY FIGHT because of the way arce fights

but down the road, an izzy-juanma unification fight would be huge, it would be a classic mexico-PR battle that could stand right up there with sanchez v gomez and cotto v margarito

 

I saw the interview and imo he didn't insinuate that Vasquez is running. Merely that JuanMa vs Vasquez is a better fight than Arce vs Vasquez.
