I give credit to Cotto. But he don't want no parts of Clottey. And I really don't see Bob Arum sacrificing him again this soon. I would be willing to bet that he signs him with Berto, now that Berto has gotten a little ink. And this would justify Margarito fighting him in a rematch and further avaoiding Williams.

I give him credit also. I don't see a problem with Cotto taking such a fight with either man. If he is one of the best, taking such a fight will show us that he is. Imo Cotto can't take a softy, and then go right back into a tough fight with AM.

I'd be surprised if Berto's people let him near Cotto at this time.

    Are you writing Clottey off?

Sam, at this point, this is a dangerous fight for either man imo.

I agree. I would have expected Cotto to take on a softer opponent after the beating he took from Margo, and my impression is that Berto's handlers wanted a another fight or two for their guy before he steps up to the elites.

I give both guys props if this fight comes off. Clottey, too, if he takes on either one.

I was just thinking that!!!! no way are bertos handlers going to let that happen, 1 he needs that wbc belt to stay relevent in the ww division 2 cotto is a massive step up in competion 3 he's got a mandatory against luis colloz, and even though collozo aint no bum im sure he likes his chances against luis than miguel:smoke

Better now than later, I feel that Berto will lose but will still give Cotto a fight.

This is why I love Cotto. He will fight anyone, anytime, anywhere. He doesn't duck anybody. He's a throwback fighter with some real heart.
