Cotto is not taking a patsy for his comeback fight!

This is exactly how Arum operates.....he talks a big game, naming a bunch of bonafide dangerous opponents......but at the end, if its not a big money fight for Cotto, which neither Clottey or PW are, Cotto will end up fighting someone who is not a risk.

Please hold your "Cotto is the man" for taking on all comers, till its signed and delivered, which believe me, it will not be.

I'm not slighting Cotto, its just how boxing operates!

 

I'd take Cotto over Berto by humilation, severe beating, and a KO within 6 rounds.

I'd take Cotto over Clottey by a clear UD or late TKO.

I never thought Tony beating him was an upset. In the build up to that fight I refused to pick a winner.

 

That's the difference between a fighter, and say a Paul Williams 4 example.

 

Berto isnt going to fight Cotto, and Cotto's isnt going to fight Clottey. Its not only a bad move but it could be career ending. Cotto would be in yet another tough hard fought battle with a guy that is bigger and stronger and not going to back up or lay back the way that cotto has gotten use to the guys he is fighting doing. I will say its would be stupid, almost as stupid as fighting Margo right away. Nothing wrong with Cotto taking a soft touch, just a fight that we bring back some confidence, and show him that he will be OK....that isnt a fight with Clottey who I would bet money on too stop Cotto. Betting is something that I dont do on boxing, in fact the last two fights I bet on were Oscar v Tito and Mayweather v Correlas. I would lay down heavy on Clottey by KO.

I was thinking the same thing but most of the posters here dont think...Example 90% of the guys here saw the fight with Judah and clottey and we all know that Clottey banged up his hand once again. Clottey was told that he couldnt spar for up to three months and that would leave him no time to train for a Nov 29 date with Williams, yet they jumped all over the talk of him being in that fight in Nov
