Don`t you mean nationality? I think my ethnicity is fairly obvious from the pic . I am Hungarian and was born in Budapest before my parents came to Montreal when I was eighteen months old and settled here. My GF is Italian and like me she was born in Calabria before her parents also settled here in Montreal. I`ve been posting here on esb for 7 years and this is the first picture I have put up of myself, so I think it is fair to say you won`t be the only one who thinks I look a lot of different than expected.

... I told him so! He's 20 and has about 8% body fat tops, and he does not stop punching. He channels Henry Armstrong but was much too reckless and taking unnecessary shots to land his own. Very strong. The guy on the right is having his first amateur fight in about 2 weeks, he'll be fighting out of Columbia, South Carolina, and is 205 lbs now. He hits like hell and I tried to teach him to work behind a disruptive, variable jab, to give the guy something to think about, and then use maximum leverage for the follow-up. Razor Ruddock tapes were part of his training, but only to understand leverage. He's more efficient with his shots and he'll have to be, because he's a short HW.

Neither one were "fans" in that they didn't know anyone except for Ali and Marciano and Leonard; they just wanted to learn how to fight before I got them. Now, they're big fans... which is at least as rewarding as their progress in the ring.

 

The heavyweight guy is built like a tank. I reckon he'd be a heavy hooker being so raw at the moment. Thats a good idea you have him working his jab to get him into position before letting go with the heavy stuff. Taller guys with longer reach will be looking to pick him apart from the outside. Maybe a bit 'bob and weave' will improve his defense and countering.

The younger smaller dude certainly looks like Andre Berto.

Yeah, these guys need to get into boxing as a sport in a wider basis. Jermain Taylor was a bit reserved outside of his own work. Never read magazines or watched tapes of greats. When Steward took over his training he had Taylor watching Hearns and others.

Master Pontius is pretty much as i imagined him, right up with the times and a damn decent athlete i bet. You look like you could fit in anywhere.
