Okay. I'm not really concerned about whether he does or doesn't back that claim up. What worries me, is that the human body is only capable of reserving so much energy - and directing all that energy towards ridiculously high output logically means diverting energy from the aggression and power aspect of offense, as in actually sitting down on any punches. If his goal is to make history with his activity level, then clearly he is placing zero emphasis on landing anything significant and damaging. So much for any 'Kessler gets stopped' predictions. And don't talk about accumulation. The type of punches that get you up into that number do not even do accumulative damage.
I see exactly what you mean, China_hand_Joe! Yes, that looks achievable! Enzo has done an amazing job! Congratulations. Sometimes, when I watch Rees, he reminds me of JC...
ld "Do not underestimate the body shot!" It seems very wise for JC to go to the body; he doesn't want to break his hands too early.
As I said, there will be rule changes after this fight - regarding legal techniques and the scoring system
Are you saying that Calzaghe will LAND 2k punches? Then he have to THROW about 4k and land 50% of those 4k punches.. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
No, it's not ridiculous if the flurries of right-left-right-left-right-left punches to the body are conted as 6! And those six will be followed by at least another 2-3 to the head - all within less than 3 seconds! Also, whenever JC will he held, he'll keep on giving those flurries to the body and hitting the temples - another 9 shots! Question: do these body shots count with the judges? I thought only head shots counted...and JC won't really be aming to do damage with those shots, will he?
yes, but do the judges put as much value on a good body shot as on a good headshot? Also, would those flurries of 6 shots to the body count as much as 6 shots to the head?:blood
CHJ you have not addressed my point that Calzaghe has to be completely throwing the idea of sitting on any of these punches out the window if he's just concentrating on putting on an "omg check out my sustained handspeed" clinic. Don't know about you, but I was expecting more of a war in this fight, and Joe showing off and setting records doesn't generate the same kind of excitement I'd been looking forward to.
