I have absolutely no idea how he has got such a good ranking. He has not beaten anyone of note on the world stage or anyone above fringe domestic class, he has at times looked a talented fighter but I do not think that itself should justify a title shot. Hopefully a couple of fights against top 20 level world fighters or at least a step upto in class from guys like Reid and Spitko. Ajose and Olu have talked about him being avoided but I wonder if he is now worried that fighting a dangerous opponent will endanger his future possible eliminator?

Well he is a talent and has an unbeaten record but other than that its not obvious to me how he is rated so highly by the WBC. He doesn't appear to have secured this with the other sanctioning bodies.

Perhaps not wanting to risk his ranking or ability to secure a potential eliminator is part of the reason we are not seeing him be tested. Might explain why he is opting for 'stay busy' fights rather than defending the Commonwealth Title against a recommended contender - has only made one defence so far and may risk being stripped if he doesn't again by end of year. Maybe he will vacate....

Yep. Why risk himself when he can stay busy so often.

Olu you often say that the reason Ajose hasn't been defending his title or taking on the leading contenders on the British scene but what about Barry Morrison ?, he has fought Daws, Lynes and Barnes, is a former British champion and has stopped Gary Reid.

He's shown he's not one to duck a challenge so why not Morrison ?

Offer him? Before Bradley when he was the champ, he had bigger fish to KO and still does. He can't be stuck fighting domestic level fighters for the rest of his career who struggle with Wright.

How good were the offers anyway? He was a WBC champion before Bradley.

If Olusegan actually stepped up beyond commonwealth level maybe he'd get the fights but he prefers to be stuck on Frank Maloney undercards It seems.

Ditto to all of this. Olusegun and his followers seem to be stuck in this unreal parallel world where a guy with no drawing power, no wins of significance on the international stage and nothing else to particularly mark him out from the crowd should be gifted a shot at a top fighter just because he (apparently) asks for it. This talk of the fight being "offered" to Witter as though it was doing him a big favour :think :think

What the guy really needs to do is work his way up to the big level by taking on some competition which is a step up but a realistic one. Rather than rabbit on about how all the competition over here is supposedly avoiding you (and the division really isnt that strong in the UK outside of Hatton and Witter) hop on a plane over to the States and fight someone based over there. How about Urango, Ndou or Randall Bailey? Lazcano? The opportunities will be there for him, but the truth is he lacks the name, the status or the drawing power (and of course the money) to draw name foreign fighters over here to face him. Otherwise, we're just gonna end up with more of this "next Azumah Nelson" talk while he fights the reigning Southern post office champion!

Why not fight Colin Lynes for the domestic #3 spot?

Cue Olu with some vague claptrap about how a lad of offers have been made to Lynes with absolutely no specifics or further details to substantiate the claim!

According to the schedule on BBN Olusegun will be facing Michael Frontin (W1 L3 D1 = 5) in a 8 rounder on that undercard - 17th October.

Olusegun is officially a joke :deal

So much for wanting a fight with Junior Witter - he is now beating up on some chump who probably puts the gloves on the wrong hands.

Elle please give me the name of a recommended contender in the Commonwealth who is ready for Ajose to defend the title against because we would willingly take however they keep refusing especially those based in the UK. You forget that our victims Bradley Pryce and Ali Nuumbembee were and are Commonwealth champions at higher weight classes. Kpadenue was the African Champion. By winning the Nigerian and prestigious ABU title we shot up the WBC ratings which we have maintained by beating whoever the promoters put in front of us. Several years ago Holgate was one of the top guys in the UK and we retired him. Even Holgate's team wax lyrical about Ajose talent. We will keep busy until we get the official title eliminator Maloney is setting up with the Japanese kid and take out Bradley or Devon Alexander whoever is the champion.

Bloody hell, and Olusegun's ranked top 5 by the WBC and looking to get an eliminator:yikes. Maloney's just keeping him busy and feeding him stiffs until the world title shot comes along.
