It was funny how Showtime/CBS tried to ride that hype train as long as possible. Now, it has crashed. No more level of invincibility for Slice. That guy was the most overrated fighter in MMA/Boxing in a long time.
Kimbo is overated, but it just show the skill difference im boxing and mma. Any guy can loose in mma easily not in boxing where skill is more evident. I have to say though kimbo did get fouled he was hit in the back of the head 3 times after he was dropped watch the video he was'nt seriously hurt untile the guy hit him in the back of the head.
That's what Jared Shaw was yelling in the background, about Kimbo being hit in the back of the head. I guess Petruzelli may have gone Sam Peter on Kimbo. LOL! BigReg - I'm with you. Never been on the Kimbo bandwagon. Kimbo seems like a pretty good guy, but as a fighter, well, that's a whole different thing.
Khan has a worse chin, Kimbo was not knocked out by the bunch, just hurt. To be honest, I think it was the hammer punch to the back of the head that got him, I seen Slice get hit with alot worse shots and not even come close to going down. Either way, bad losses for both Slice and Khan.
I think these are some pretty good points. There are some hard hitters in the lower weight classes, but you always hear the cliche that "anyone over 200 lbs. that hits you can KO you" kind of thing. There's certainly some truth to that. Still, Kimbo went down like a tree from that one-footed punch. Yikes.
He seems like a pretty good guy? hahah All I have ever seen out of him is WHAT??!! Thats how a ni**a eats!! What?!!! ps. Very glad he got rocked
I'm thrilled he got rocked. Great start to my sports weekend. :good Kimbo has a college education (not that this matters, but he's not some common thug as some may think) and I've heard he's a pretty good guy. However, he's been living this stupid YouTube "stardom" thing for several years seems to have adopted the whole thug persona to try to give off a certain vibe. It's stupid. To me, he's like American Idol meets MMA. He's a big guy and all, but he doesn't have much skill. Guys that are on shows like TUF (The Ultimate Fighther; a reality show for the UFC here in the USA) at least have to have some skill, and they aren't made the center of a promotion, at least not while they're still learning. Kimbo was made the heart of Elite XC and you just knew something like this would happen. I think it's hilarious. He'll be fine, himself. He's got enough notoriety that he can trade on that for years.
