Yeah, let's take a look at that...the Wlad fight definitely took an effect on his choice of opposition. He fought Robert Hawkins (not a big heavy or huge puncher), Julius Long (Soup Can), and last but not least James Toney twice (a former middleweight Champ with no KO power at Heavyweight). I give him a lot of credit for standing and trading with Jameel and the big O...but, we saw him get rocked in both of those fights. I would say that the baby bro had a lasting effect on him!!

Peter should be worried more about klitschko's ring intelligence. Very smart and crafty fighter. What is Peter prepared to do when Vitali starts hitting him and turning him at odd angles? I don't think Peter has an answer for that. But, this is assuming that Vitali can still perform. Very intriguing fight!!

What are you talking? Are you saying that McCline is better than Toney? James Toney is without doubt the best name on Sam Peter's record. The guy is a legend and beat Peter the first time.

Sam Peter himself said that Toney is the best opponent he has beaten.

If Peter proves he can handle Vitali's power and take him the distance then he has this fight won for me. Vitali already had stamina issues before and trust me it won't get better after 4 years of inactivity, 37 years of age with serious injuries that kept him out of the ring. I won't expect much of Vitali's odd angles in this fight and I won't be surprised to see him stand there with poor defense(unless he uses the hold tactic) mixing it up with Peter.

    VERY intriguing fight indeed.

I'm saying that Jameel has more power than James...James is a shell of himself. This is the same guy that had a draw with Danny Batchelder.

He should retire...I heard a recent interview with James and he sounds awful...he is slurring his words like he has brain damage.

Vitali has been on the shelf so long, Danny Williams would look good against him

I can't wait...whoever wins this fight deserves a lot of credit from fight fans. I think we can all agree on that.

how would you know? Have you seen Vitali lately? Vitali Klitschko wouldn't come out of retirement if he couldn't perform at an appropriate level. Champions know what it takes to fight at the highest level. I wouldn't assume that he can't perform at a high level.

I know I do though I'm sure others will have their share of excuses or bull**** to downgrade whoever they hate.

Not at all...the KLiT-ites are on crack to think that 5 fights later the punches WLAD landed have finally caught up to him...

Remember, before McCline there was no talk of this lunacy...you can't go back and change the record now.

The questions we should be asking here is where do both fighters go from here win or lose? i think if Peter should win, a showdown with baby bro is inevitable...if he loses, what then? A challenge to Valuev? Will he have to work his way back up by fighting someone like ibragimov?

If Vitali should win, is he going to retire again or defend the title? Should he lose, will he go after Valuev?

If Peter wins then I'm sure he goes for the winner of Wladimir/Povetkin next or even Valuev, don't see any other better option out there, Haye is a possibility too.

Vitali already said that he wants to get the title, celebrate by accomplishing the Klitschko dream with both him and his brother champions at the same time and then retire once again. This could be changed of course.
