Like I said before, Cotto vs Clottley and Margo vs SSM are the best preparation fights for the eventual Cotto vs Margo. I like SSM and you know what? I am going with him on this one just because my heart tells me so not my head.

In my mind I see SSM having the same problems he has when he faced tall fighters such as Forrest and let's not forget about Winky too. However, I feel that Cotto laid out the blue print to beat Margo in the first half of the fight. My question is... Does SSM has the proper tools to finish that blue print? In his peak as a fighter I wouldn't doubt it but at this stage, althought I don't want to count him out my head is telling me that he doesn't.

Margarito is fighting like a mad man; he's on top of his game. That Punisher fight seemed to have awoken the beast inside of him. On the other hand, Sugar Shane has shown glimpses of being shot; has looked worse in each of his last two fights. I don't think anyone takes Margo out right now. ESPECIALLY an old Mosley. You guys are kidding yourselves if you think he even has a chance.

 He laid out the blueprints on beating Margo? GTFOtta here.

Cotto was the only thing laid out after the fight.

Newbie, watch the first half of Cotto vs Margo and don't tell me that Cotto wasn't schooling Margo with a ****ing boxing clinic. Cotto ran out of gas and Margo capitalize on it... fine, all respect to Margo for what he accomplished but be realistic, Cotto was beating Margo in the first half of the fight.

If this happened last February than I would have picked Mosley. Since then Margo has ripped through both Cintron and Cotto while Mosley was dormant until recently looking unimpressive against Mayorga. My prediction is that Mosley's age becomes apparent against the relentless aggressor named Antonio Margarito and a possible stoppage might just end Mosley's career.

Margarito UD. Shane had a better shot two years ago.

Search before you post. There are already several polls like this newbie.

You're clearly the boxing noob. AM got to Cotto in the first 6 rounds even though Cotto won most of the rounds. The KO was an accumulation effect as a result of punishment over the entire fight. It wasn't a couple of punches. That is why Cotto should stay away from AM.

SSM is durable but he looked bad against f--kin Mayorga, a tomato can/punching bag who brings only bad words and reputation to any fight.

SSM will get dismantled and he may pay the price later in his life. He started at a much lower weight and he is fighting a big mother-f--kin welter weight. He has lost his speed and his power, all he has is some heart which will get squashed.

    Is SSM in debt?

Man that's fine... I am not arguing this. You should've read my original post and the answer that "Steel Gloves" replied on me and it's the reason that I wrote what I wrote. Cotto laid out the blue print how to beat Margo in the first half of the fight. Unforatunately for Cotto due to Margo heating up (with presure, pounches, etc, etc, etc), plus Cotto's stamina, Margo was able to pull the upset and KO Cotto... I am not denying anything nor I am taking away anything from Margo but I sustain my previous statement that Cotto laid out the blue print to beat Margo in the first half of the fight... Similar to what ODLH did against Tito in their fight.

    Margarito UD 12

Mosley's never really been that sort of boxer.

He's probably going to have to clinch effectively to slow the pace and Margarito's workrate to pull off the upset.

I think Mosley can pull it off. The guy is VERY DURABLE(body and chin), knows how to CLINCH and most importantly he FIGHTS VERY WELL ON HIS TOES and that type of movement can disrupt Margarito(Mosley is much better than cotto on the backfoot). Mosley has going for him the 3 things that cost Cotto the fight. Mosley UD.

The more I think about it the more I think Mosley can actually do it. Though he is certainly up against it.

As many people have said Mosley knows how to get out of trouble..he can clinch, move, smother and can be quite cagey when he wants to.

Though he isnt a boxer compared to a lot of top guys..he certainly has the skills to pot shot and pick up points off Margarito.

My only issue is his age..he looked pretty bad in his last fight and I dont actually think he looked near his best in the Cotto fight either. Where basically he was getting outboxed and a little beat up in the mid rounds before Cotto got tired. Which Margarito wont...Plus he has never looked great against guys stronger then him because his success has a lot do to with him physically dominating his opponants.

Should be a great fight...I hope Shane doesnt get stopped at least.

Only thing the Mosley/Mayorga fight told me was that Mosley should stay FAR away from Margarito.

Mosley is going to get seriously hurt in this one and retire a bloody mess.
