Kelly is also one dimensional, just how hopkins likes it, you must of forgot about that one key ingredient.

oldman river is just too old. he will have his moments, but pavlik will most likely out work him down the stretch and wear him out.

Anything is possible here though I'll be shocked if Pavlik wins this one by decision, if anything Hopkins showed he's stronger at Light heavyweight and can punch pretty hard and with Kelly being off-balance a lot he can get caught and dropped in a position like that. I would fully expect Hopkins to land more and make Pavlik miss in this one all the way to a decision victory. That's IF Hopkins shows the activity he showed against Tarver, Pavlik deifnitely has a chance to score a knockdown or even a knockout here. I'll pick Hopkins to win by decision but a KO for Pavlik is also possible if Hopkins gets careless or seriously tires late.

Unless he is totally shot, then yes, I expect him to win this fight.

Yeah, but the way he does it, that one dimension eventually catches up with people. People ALOT younger. Hop will wear down & the curtain will begin to desend.

If Pavlik shows he's confused in there, stand still and wait then he's going to lose by decision with almost every round looking more and more worse for him. I'm expecting to see him go in there and as early as round one throw bombs and show he's there to stay active, only that way he can win it and possibly by decision too, I don't expect him to be affective enough with it considering Hopkins has made far more skilled fighters look horrible against him and Pavlik is hardly skilled and very predictable for someone like Hopkins.

    I pretty much agree.

But it wouldn't shock me one bit if Hopkins pulls out a close one because of his vastly superior boxing skills and just taking Pavlik to school and making Pavlik look silly due to his predictable 1-2 style. But common sense will tell you Pavlik simply outworks Hopkins like Calzaghe and Taylor did.

I know Calzhaghe fans are dieing for Hopkins to beat Pavlik so they can justify Calzhaghe horrible performance against Hopkins.

i hope hopkins gets ko'd so he will retire.

i will be shocked if hopkins wins this fight.

if pavlik is as good as most people are saying then surely he must win.

Yeah. I`ve learned to NEVER count out any fighter thru past experience. I personally have it 60 40 in Pavs favor atm, maybe a bit higher.

Hopkins is still a tough challenge for anyone because of his ring intelligence, but I don't think his low punch output and stamina will beat Pavlik.
