I'm now convinced... the pressure is squarely on Vitali. Period.

I would say the pressure is on Peter.

He is fighting a guy that is according to many people injury prone and has been inactive for 4 years. What does Vitali have to lose? Peter has his WBC belt to lose. If Peter loses this fight his career is in shambles. Vitali loses? He just goes back to politics or charity work.

IMO, Vitlai has Peter somewhat intimidated and seems sharp.

While its true that no man has taken 3.5+ years off, and returned at age 37+ to win a belt without warm up fights to win a world title belt, Vitlai seems to be in top shape, focused, and sharp skill wise.

I get the hunch Vitlai is ready to rise up to the moment and make history.

The pressure is obviously on Peter. He's not the favorite, he's the champion defending his belt, etc.

Either that or else Vitali is the "Great Fighter" some people say he is. Gonna be interesting to see what happens. I don't have a clue...

Both are under a lot of pressure here, Vitali with his lay-off and injuries and Peter fighting for the first time in Germany against a tough opponent he knows he won't get much credit for beating, unless he takes this as a way back at Wladimir which I hope he does.

I think there is pressure on both, yes, but I think Vitali has more on him due to everyone already expecting him to thrash Peter.

And not only does he have to thrash Peter in order to live up to the preconcieved expectations, he's gotta do it after being out of the ring for almost four years.

    HUGE challenge. HUGE!

That was a joke, Einstein... to rile up the Klit-ites. Relax and enjoy life a bit there.

I can see your point 100% but those are the same people that are stating he will destroy Peter inside of 5 rounds so....

Thank you. Perhaps I didn't explain myself well enough. You hit the nail on the head.

I don't understand how the pressure being on the favourite and this being a long lay-off comeback for him produces any damage to the underdog's chances which are and would always be big. I can understand how the public may affect Klitchko's mindset ( extra support) and the judges perception but this is quite far from defining the outcome of the fight... It can really go different ways since nobody really knows how they'll adjust.

i would have said Vitali, if he was active, but you can be sure you not going to watch 12 round fight
    For me it's 50/50 fight
Vitali with slide edge in the early rounds

I can only hope for the sake of the Heavyweight Division that Peter wins.

Vitali and Wlad freezing the HW title is the absolute worst thing that could happen.

It is utter bull**** he gets to fight for the title first time out after so many years out of the ring.

I don't particularly like Peter, but he had to earn his shot. Vitali loosing to Lennox is his most notable fight.

    Boo.

Vitali and Wlad are not freezing the heavyweight division. Don King has done that and will continue in doing so if allowed. So for the sake of the Heavyweight Division Vitali should win.

I see the pressure being on both fighters. Maybe even more so on Peter. Vitali is coming off a layoff and injuries. Peter has been in the mix looking bad, and then good in his last 2 fights. He has more to lose.
