Slim to no chance at this point in his career if the fight happens.

  3. Holyfield at 46, a foot shorter and a 100lbs lighter is in for a hellacious beating:-( but im at the point who cares??:huh if he is on a suicide mission more power to him..

Holyfield has no chance. Valuev and his manager & Don King have said they do not want Holyfield. However Wilfried Sauerland Valuev's promoter has been in talks with Holyfield and has stated he is one of a short list of potential opponents. I really hope this mismatch does not happen, although maybe Holyfield would finally retire when he is convincingly beaten by Valuev.

Once he feels one of valuev's big right hands, I think he'll FINALLY retire. Then again, maybe not.:D

It would be a great story if Holyfield won but I wish he would retire.

I think we all want him to retire. Problem is, Evander is FLAT BROKE.

Thats what happens when you have 9 kids from 8 different women

    SAD:|

I'm still holding out hope that Evander will come to his senses and retire after that godawful Ruiz trilogy, before he takes too many needless beatings.

As unlikely as it is, a Holyfield win would be ****ing EPIC.

    Cinderella Man times a million.

Wrong! Wladimir Klitschko makes way more than Holyfield these days. He's gonna get over $10M for the fight against Povetkin. The entire purse of the Holyfield vs. Ibragimov was $6.5M.

admittedly i haven't seen too much of valuev except for his chagaev fight, but at least he obviously won't have the speed which kills holyfied at this point because holy's reflexes have eroded. with holy's chin he should at least make it a fight and probably be able to land some hooks like chagaev beat valuev with. holy will probably lose, but at least hell have a shot.

If this was Holyfield from even 4 years ago I would give him a chance but not now
