Seriously you guys have high expectations about tonight's fight.

You can never know...... Ali vs Frazier I was a fantastic fight, a classic, but their rematch was a total bore.

Especially with the trend of boring fights at heavyweight recently, it's hard to get your hopes up, but both have always been in spectacular fights. The most likely disappointing reason will be Vitali getting injured one way or another, followed by 4 years of spam on who was winning.

I'm excited a lot about tonight, two serious events in one night. Looking forward to the Peter fight more to be honest though I just hope for a fair clear victory with no bull****, as a fan of both I'll try not to get pissed off whoever wins.

 

I wont be shocked if Vitali wins but it kinda annoys me everyones acting like he is what he was in 2004 like we are still stuck in that year. 4 full years have past and now hes 37 with a bunch of injuries that he says forced him to retire to begin with. I wouldnt be shocked if he got in there and blew out a knee I hope not but dont be suprised. Also he wasnt even great to begin with his best wins came agianst Kirk Johnson(fat fringe contender)Corrie Sanders (semi active with no stamina)Danny Williams(a complete bum who just lucked into a Tyson knee injury and won)

 

Yeah, me too. Can't we as boxing fans just be excited about having 4 world class fighters fighting eachother on the same card? Quit pissing in people's kool-aid OP.:good

 

I'm not saying they are, just saying that even when two exciting fighters collide, you can have a great fight or a boring one, depending on circumstances.


As for calling them bums, very nice, let me know when you've accomplished more than these bums!

 

Not on the same card, Tarver/Dawson is another card two hours after Klitschko/Peter.

Yeah, but that's not a valid comparison.

In that fight it was a mobile boxer vs a volume punching pressure fighter.

Here you have a relatively immobile, but aggressive slugger, (Vitali), vs a pressure fighting volume fighter much with power, (Peter).

It's possible that it might turn into a clinch fest, but Peter has shown ability to go the full 12 rounds punching, and Vitali doesn't clinch nearly as much as his brother as he is willing to trade with his opponents.

 

I hope you are wrong and I also disagree that we are getting our hopes up about Klitschko - Peter. This will be a slugfest that will end early - hopefully in Peter's favour. :good
