Absolutly, if he can make that extra weight work for him, the HW division is pretty much Haye's for the taking, he is simply a better boxer than the rest of them and more of an athlete.
Haye's "power"... isn't going to look the same when he fights a big heavyweight. Also... his speed will slow down if he put on the 30 or so pounds that he says. Not only that... his respect level for what is coming back at him is going to have to be much higher, which will force him to either not sell out on his punches like he did at cruiser... or get knocked out.
lewis aint coming out of retirement just like hagler didnt...wih people would quit bringing up his name...hes like 42 or 43 now and rich beyond everyone else.....
Well, going back to that loss over and over again doesn't do Vitali any good. He is a great fighter, he should accept the fact he lost that fight no matter how he lost it, and carry on cleaning the division like Wlad. :thumbsup
Why everyone got so ****ing excited about Vtaliy's victory ??? What is so cool ? that he managed to come out and fight or that he managed to win Samuel Peter ??? If its the second reason then watch McCline Peter or Peter Toney and all the hype will be gone.
Read. Speed & Power. I'm talking about the combination. Not many of those guys, if any in the division today, can combine the speed & power that Haye has.
He absolutely does, IMO. Haye is also much quicker, has a much better range of punches and a higher work rate than most, if not all, of the HW's at the moment.
Well, someone needs to clean up the division, take out the trash, because it pretty much stinks at the moment.
Yes, Haye's speed and power are impressive, at Cruiserweight. Your point could be right, but will be just an assumption until Haye actually fights top guys at Heavyweight. We don't know if he can carry the same speed and power at HW, we can only assume right now. Looking impressive vs Enzo Macarinelli and vs either of the Klitschko's are two different things. Let the man show what he's got rather than talk about it.
I can't believe I'm actually cheer leading for David Haye - because I can't stand him and yeah, its all speculation and opinion as to whether Haye can dominate the division. But for me, Haye is the equal in terms of power with Wlad, and like I already mentioned, Haye is MUCH more accurate than Vitali or Wlad, has a much better range of punches, and he is more ring smart and works harder for longer. His footwork and movement are also much more impressive. I honestly don't see the very limited fighters who dominate the HW division right now being able to cope with all the attributes that Haye has.
Absolutely! Lewis, if he were to ever come out of retirement, should have done that 3 years ago. It has been over 5 years now and if he didn't comeback a couple years ago, then I don't see why he'll come back now. Vitali is not getting his wish of a rematch even if it means a $25 million payday for Lewis
Lewis could have retired after the Tyson fight but graciously gave a shot to the young rising star. Klitschko should accept he lost and move on.
I think Vitlai would KO Lewis if they fought each other next. 5-1, and I'd still lay money on Vitali. I do think Vitlai shoudl go after Valuev next, but he should tell Lewis that he has an open inivtation for a re-match in a venue of Lewis choosing.
