My reasons on why Hopkins and Jones will win against Pavlik and Calzaghe!!

I know. I'm going to root for the old guys, but these old guys are fighting two of the very best fighters in the world. Jones is a bit luckier because Cal is older himself and not that big a puncher if you want to call that lucky lol. Hop on the other hand is going to find it rough, and he will make it rough and ugly for Pav.

 

I think it is his biggest win. I mean after the Hopkins win the other fighter recognize is Lacy so yeah I think it is. Hopkins is trying make as much money as he can before he retires no doubt about that.

 

That's the reason Jones took the fight...it is a trap, if you ask me. He was encouraged 1)because of his good showing against Hanshaw and Trinidad and 2) because of the difficulty Calzaghe had with Bhop.

Both of these reasons are very misleading. 1) the two Jones fights mentioned above weren't a very good indication of how good Jones truly is at this point. 2) B-hop makes every figher look bad...again, not a very accurate indicator of Calzaghe's current level.

I think Roy is walking into a sh*t storm!!

I actually think B-hop is going to have a better showing than Roy, unfortunately.

We will eventually find out...anything can happen in boxing.

Are you dismissing Kessler or did you just forget about that fight? You do realize he was undefeated at the time, right?

 

No doubt both Jones and Hop have an uphill battle.

 

If Roy and B-hop do win, do you see them finally making the rematch?

 

Oh yeah, I forgot about that but still Hopkins is a bigger name than Kessler even though I rank Kessler high.

I think Dawson will win a UD. I see Kessler doing well early but I think with Dawsons speed and his punches in bunches he will prevail.

 

Do you really think Dawson's chin can hold up against Kessler? That guy has a lot more power than Glen Johnson.

 

No doubt Kessler has power however I think Dawson will keep his hands up like what he did against Tarver and win a UD. Kessler aint a constant body puncher so I think Dawson will be fine against him.

 

You're right about Kessler being a headhunter...I would love to see that fight happen!!
