Wladimir knocks him out and early. Briggs has a decent chance with his punch but he's too slow and predictable for Wladimir, size is what could cause Wladimir some issues here but still I can see him landing on Briggs easily.

 

I agree...granted that the Briggs fight would be more risk than reward, I think it would end within four rounds with a Wlad KO!!

 

Maybe he is allergic to pineapple.

 

Shannon Briggs + Pizza (Chicago style), Chili dogs, ice cream, tripple cheeseburger, milk shakes, snickers, a half-ass workout with a hot dog etc = slow moving boring punching target.

 

I doubt that Vlad is afraid of Briggs. It's probably more a case of Vlad knowing that Briggs will start a heavy scene (i.e., aggressive head games, etc.), and Vlad doesn't want to deal with that for no good reason.

An irony here is that Briggs, if only he had had serious discipline, drive, and a better training, could have been up there with the Klitschkos all these past years. Briggs certainly had the talent.

 

Let's see here Briggs has no stamina, no Chin, no heart, throws 10 punches a round but Wlad is scared of him?

Briggs is a big joke. Period. He is finished was offered a fight against Golota but admitted he was too out of shape to accept it. Briggs is an example of what is wrong with the Heavyweight Division today. Too many guys are out of shape and lethargic but think they are "owed" title shots for something they did 10 years ago. What a joke.

 

I actually think he has a pretty good chin. Lewis bombed him when he was as good as defenceless for two rounds, and while he went down, he was never out of it. After that he was never stopped and took a lot of shots from Ibragimov. McCline did drop him with one hell of a three punch combination, but who doesn't get dropped? McCline also dropped Peter 3x, Byrd and Brock, he's a good hitter but lacks stamina and skill to finish his opponent.


But yeah, Wlad being scared of Briggs is a joke. Briggs lost just about every round to Ibragimov, who in turn, lost about every round against Klitschko. Let Briggs beat a top opponent first. Let's hope not in fact, his fights are terribly boring because he throws 12 punches per round.

 

Wladimir would batter Briggs and make SB beg for his asthma inhaler. That said, I could see Wlad being a bit concerned about Briggs for a few rounds. Shannon is big and he hits hard.

At this point, though, Shannon is old and offers little. Liakhovich basically threw the fight away against Briggs in the final round of their match. Wlad would take Briggs out long before that could happen.

 

Wlad is not scared of Briggs. That is preposterous. Your neat little story has done nothing to prove otherwise, except to cite the claims of "certain media members". Well, the media says alot of things, and much of it is rubbish. Remember that Wlad entertained Briggs' challenge at that press conference telling him that they had attempted to make the fight but his (Briggs') people ultimately turned it down, so they took the Brock fight instead. Even the Klitschko website cited that Briggs was to be Wlad's opponent.

Why would anyone want to see that racist piece of **** Briggs fight anybody is beyond me.

Anyone who thinks Briggs would stand a serious chance against Wlad is touching themselves.

Let me explain:

Briggs was outboxed & embarrassed vs. Sultan Ibragimov. Wlad outpointed Sultan to a virtual shutout. Shannon has maybe a round & a half to actually pose any serious threat to Wlad and after that he's toast. Shannon's chin is far worse than Wlad's & his jab isn't good enough to set up the big punch he would need to start Wlad scrambling.

 

Briggs is a KOOL dude from New York..... At least Briggs is NOT always in the paper for drunkeness or robbery / **** like other morons named "Mitch Green, Mike Tyson & Riddick Bowe." Shannon Briggs is too big and slow on his legs, but still has fast hands without any stamina..... NO!! I'm sorry, but Wlad Klit schools the older and slower Briggs for a late round beatdown / TKO!!
