Chad Dawson did well to call out Joe Calzaghe as it is his duty as a legitimate LHWT two time titlist. The opposite of that is not really and necessarily true - Joe Calzaghe doesn't need to fight Chad Dawson since he took the linear LHWT Championship from Bernard Hopkins and is defending it against one of the most famous if not the most famous former LHWT of the World, the guy who unified the titles and was former MW and SMW and even HWT Champion, Roy Jones Jr... Same goes for Hopkins - in case Bernard beats Pavlik, he has Roy or Joe again and he doesn't need Chad to prove anything. Chad should be thinking about the way to prove himself the best of the new breed of fighters and not the man who beat the man, he has nothing to offer!

Calzaghe is too unproven over his career to go down as a true ATG (which I rate as someone in the top 75 P4P, all-time). He left too much to the end, now he has to beat someone like Chad Dawson to earn that status (fat chance).
