Seriously can you imagine Bruno's jab and right hand against Sam Peter on Saturday night.

I'll never forget sitting ringside watching him batter James 'quick' Tillis' face to a pulp (the Tillis that went the distance with Tyson) it was funny because directly accross the ring the UK commentators were baptised in Tillis' blood. If you ever see that fight on DVD watch how when the fight is over and Tillis walks to his stool, his trainer looks at his face and shouts "oh my god!"

I think of all time - Average
    From 1980s to 1990s - Good / Very Good
If he was in hi prime now - Very Good

His fights were pretty exiting IMO.

An old, over-the-hill version of Frazier though.
I think Cummings is inside now for armed robbery.

Well it wouldn't be the young, prime version would it?;)

The last I heard he was in jail, I didn't know it was armed robbery though.:good

Bruno was ok but a bit too stiff and to be honest he didn't know how to cover up.

The HW division was shocking throughout the 80's and only Tyson was a shining light. If Bruno had been half decent he could have dominated the division or at least one of the belts.

I watched the McCall v Bruno fight last night on Nuts, the atmosphere at Wembley was the best I've ever seen for a boxing match. Bruno looked like a good/very good fighter, he landed the jab at will, seemed to have a lot of power behind his punches, was fairly mobile, but he got hurt once or twice so I'm sure how good his chin was, he also had stamina issues in the fight and he was really out on his feet in the last round. A great fight though, and a great guy. One thing about the show, it ended as soon as the decision was read out, I kind of wanted to see the celebrations. I also enjoyed watching Nigel Benn screaming support at Bruno all through the fight, Benn was stood up, I feel sorry for whoever was sat behind him, but I understand why they didn't ask him to sit down...

Easy to hit, slow, flat footed, weak chin. His only good wins were against a fat Joe Bugner, a shot fighter in Carl Williams, and a blown up cruiser Pierre Coetzer. Who can argue with that Bruno fans? And McCall would have knocked him out if he'd had another round.

Nigel was brilliant, they should of had him in the corner the amount of advice he was screaming :deal
Even though i've seen the fight many times before I ending up screaming "Tie him up Frank, Hold on Just Hold Oooooooooonnnn!!" for the last three rounds in fact I think I do that everytime I see that fight:nut:lol:

Excellent. It perhaps wasn't one of his best performances (I havent seen it in ages) - but he got the belt he so desperately wanted throughout his career.

I think Bruno was at the Benn/McClellan fight as well - encouraging Nigel.

Bruno was a Good Heavyweight only beaten by future champion @ the time in Bonecrusher Smith and the rest champions, in this current era i think Old Frank would have held one of 4 titles the only 2 fighters out there now that would cause him problems would be the Klitchkos imo.

Ouch, an illegal move by Lewis there... amazingly still doesn't put him down.
