Mundine will be fighting on 2 cards organized by Oscar De La Hoya in the US next year. News has been passed throughout Australian media this week.

Also likely to fight Sturm in his very next fight.

After Sturm, likely another decent MW, likely Espino, or John Duddy type to build for a mega fight in 09.

    With Hopkins, Pavlik winner.

Just posted this, because hadn't seen it in the general forum before. And know he has some fans in general.

So he's supposed to fight the winner of Sturm v. Sylvester, or just Sturm, even if he gets beat by Sylvester?

Talking of boats...don't be surprised if the General Forum takes this stance:

The winner. I can't see either of them posing him problems when hes coming in at 170. With power and speed advantages. They are currently looking at HBO after Dark or maybe a double card, for the Sturm bout.

And then a Espino, or John Duddy, on possibly an international PPV, to finish the build up, for a bout with Pavlik.

Hope this is true, though id like to see some sources. All i heard was Russel Crowe roped De La Hoya into having lunch with him and Choc and Oscar threw around the idea of a couple of low key US fights to get him started, though nothing in concrete.

Mundine's on the decline already unfortunately, he has missed his best chance but it would be great if he could line up a Sturm or Sylvester fight.

    :rofl

Mundine will do no such thing...In order to make those fights he would need some balls, and I dont know that he still owns a pair:yep

With that being said, maybe a top 5 to 10 in terms of talent, i think that Mundine threw away his talent, with his attempt to beat every bum he could find..I mean the guys entire career has been about four or five fights and the rest were all wasting time, and stealing money from his fans.

If Mundine ends up fighting Sylvester, he'll probably get KTFO. I'll believe it when I see it either way. Since fighting Kessler, he's always taken the *****'s way out when it comes to making decent fights.

Mundine was never that great even before the Kessler fight. I think he is one of the worst former world champions in boxing history.
