This is according to Steve Kim.

Perez looked pretty good against Garcia in his last fight, even though Garcia is a bit of a head case and didn't offer up a whole lot of resistance.

    Good test for Kirkland.

Cant wait until him an Angulo get it on, its bound to happen. These two would kill Forrest with the quickness.

His chin seems to be iron and he sent Margarito to the canvas. Good test. I like this kid.

Perez is a decent test, ill never forget when he got robbed against Brinkley. The acutal fight was close but Perez dropped Brinkley for the count with a body shot but is was called a low blow because Jesse said it was low. John Ruiz **** right there.

Danny should be a good tussle whilst not being a threat to Kirkland.

Agreed. I'm looking forward to that matchup.

There are questions about Kirkland, but he remains one of my favorite prospects.

He has potential, he is just green... He is comming along tho and I feel he will be great one day. Tho I may be a little biased... I used to train right around the corner from Ann's gym and used to peak in from time to time...

see THIS is whats messed up now....

Kirkland has gone WHAT... like 7 rounds in his last 4 fights or so????

    now hes given a test?

they should have matched him up with the guy angulo just beat, a tough sob whos going to make you earn your win by not going away and staying in your face... that would have been a good step up for kirkland but now hes going from blowing fools out in 1 round to fighting a guy whos going to really test him?

    i dont like this

Yah, he floored Margarito with a big right in the first round. Margo got up immediately and won the fight.

Margarito gave him a rematch as his first defense of his newly won WBO title incidently and really beat Perez up badly over 12 rounds.

This is a pretty good step up for James Kirkland. Perez didn't look amazing against Garcia but he's still a decent fighter who could pose some problems for Kirkland.
