Because the division is so strong. If you have a pussydoll division you can fight 300 fights. See Sam Langford.
I dont think you necessarily have to be a KO puncher to KO Wald.....Vit Yes, but Wald :-( ....That is easier said than done b/c Wald is a lot better defensively and he has a very good jab. However....Nick's size will be huge since Wald will be facing his biggest opponent ever. I'd still go with Wald to win but I wouldnt be surprised to hear Nick KO'd Waldimir.
it sounds very cute, but being smug can often have repercussions.. Povetkin may have something to say about that, and Chagaev.. Ivory towers are like a house of cards, they can tumble down very easily.. and ohhh how the mighty can fall....
I'm a fan of Povetkin, although his last few fights did not impress me at all. I don't think Povetkin brings anything to the table when it comes to fighting Waldo. His defense is too shaky, and you can't get away with that against someone with a right hand like Wladdy. He lacks the power needed to put him away as well.
SD against a Klitschko? No way in hell... I could see Chagaev somehow KO Wlad, but no way he would win a SD. If it goes to the cards, the only possible outcome is Wlad by UD. Also, Chagaev was able to get inside against Valuev because Valuev is MUCH slower than Wlad. I hope no one is gonna argue about that.
...but who is out there...??? It's going to be tough for anybody to beat ViTKLiT in the ring... I see nobody out there...perhaps he can injure his leg facing Valuev, if he allows the big man to hold and lean his 325 him. I don't think there is a HW today who could have stood for those 8 rounds and not gone down. I'm glad it wasn't Toney taking that kind of punishment or he would be talking like Ali now. There's nobody who can touch this guy right now. His body may betray him though. So maybe we can ask, who will he make the next Hasim Rahman, by not making it to the ring...???...that's the only thing that can happen. His body eventually will betray him. The time off has definitely prolonged his career, however if it's a gift of duration or of a mere shining moment is not yet known.
I think that you are the one who calls the Klitschkos and Peter bums. So don't laugh to others when they point out an obvious fact: That no fighter could withstand 300 fights against ATG opposition.
Hopefully, they'll report a bit more about Vitali's future in the coming days. I hope Vitali fights Valuev, Haye, or Chagaev before retiring. Better yet, all three. If he has to face Gomez in a mere 90 days (assuming that is correct), and even if it does screw up the Valuev plans, at least it will be good to see Vitali to have to fight at a better pace than he used to do.....about every 6 to 7 months, if not longer.
Vitaly is good but he is not the best, Wlad is the best HW right now, and while his win over Peter was good, you must not forget how lazy Peter has been since the Wlad fight, this last fight was decided in part by his poor work ethic in the gym, there was no excuse for him to weigh 253+ lbs in the biggest fight of his career. Peter being bad and out of shape had alot to do with how good Vitaly looked.
Oh, what I'd really love to see is Wlad vs Valuev and Vitali vs Haye. ****, how I'd love to see David Haye get in there with Vitali Kltischko :bbb :bbb
Quote from a site that is sweet about the science of boxing. "I prepared different especially for this fight," said Klitschko. "He's a head shorter than me. Actually, my sparring was more taxing than the fight. I expected him to be more explosive than he was. I felt quite sure I'd drop him in another round or two." "I showed I could do it," concluded Klitschko. "I have a lot of dreams about boxing. I feel I can do so much more. I'll talk to the people close to me and we'll see what comes next." Its the *I feel I can do so much more* part that I am encouraged by. Looks like Vitlai is feeling 100% and eager to stay at it. At least, let's hope so. With possible oppoenents like Valuev, Chagaev, and Haye out there, and all needed a good beating, I don't think we'll see Vitali retire for a few fights, yet.
