Arum is saying that there is not enough money for a Mosley vs Margarito match in January. I'm very disappointed I think it would be a great fight, its just that he says HBO isn't offering enough. I definitely think that Margo deserves a good pay day, he wants a certain dollar amount. Hopefully they could come up with the money.
This fight is not going to happen. Besides the money, Arum also doesn't want to risk ****ing up Margo/Cotto II. Both Margo and Cotto will take on a soft touch in February before squaring off with eachother. Apparently, now Goosen wants to make Williams vs. Mosley. Berto was mentioned as another opponent for Mosley.
I'm torn a bit in thought. I'm hopin' Sugar learned a great deal from the Cotto fight and uses that to capitalize against Margo. If the fight happens that is, which I personally would like to see a couple of other Margo fights beforehand. In short, I'm not counting on it. Nice thought though.
Margarito would punish Mosely at this stage. The 2nd half of the fight would be a living nightmare for SSM, he may actually get TKO`d.
I thought margo would be knocking down Sugar's door for this fight, after the Mayorga fight. Big money fight with a low risk past prime fighter. Followed by a bigger money fight in the Cotto rematch.
im not surprised when a Top Rank prize fighter goes up against a GBP prize fighter there better be a lot of money involved and this fight does not have the appeal to make enough.
