no i dont think that , i dont think either have/had granite chins.. i just think at this stage of pavliks career, benn is better in every departement.
What? They are nothing alike. [YT]RrG0y6Z8S4U[/YT] [YT]1lfQmUZO07g[/YT] A brief glance at these fighters speaks volumes. The first is fought at a higher level, it only takes a pair of working eyes to see that. Pavlik looks in god damn slow motion.
so true, pavlik would have huge problems keeping up with benn. if benn was feeling destructive, it could be over early.
f**k pavlik in this one. benn by brutal tko by smashing the american hopes white face up around rounds 5 or 6, easy easy fight for benn, he'd walk through anything pav would have to throw.
A lot of judgement calls being made in this one... McClellans bombs were taken at super middle, where Benns style was different, he was a smarter super middleweight than he was a middleweight. Pavlik also avergaes about 90odd punches a round, there is nothing wrong with his workrate. Pavlik stops him.
Both Eubank and Benn beat Pavlik Pre-Watson II Eubank wins by TKO, post Watson II wins by wide UD. Eubank had the great ability to make a high class opponent look exceptionally stupid and ordinary, throw in a Hagler-esque chin as well. Benn had a lot better chin than people give him credit for - against Watson he punched himself out, whilst he ran into Eubank on the best night of Chris's life yet still could have emerged the winner. If Taylor can put you on ***** street, Benn and Eubank can (and will) KO you. A better comparison would be prime Steve Collins vs Pavlik.
Benn, Watson and of course Eubank were extraordinary top class fighters. All three would prime for prime beat Pavlik in my opinion (and also Hopkins...sorry to say that). Especially Eubank and Benn were outstanding.
