I just seen in the news and in boxrec http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=7035&cat=boxer This is great stuff. Finally a HW fight that gets me interested. You have to give it to Wlad. Although his opposition is far from great, he takes on the best available.
You know this fight is signed and done for a few months now do you?Anyway Wlad should take Povetkin easy in a extremely boring fight, similar with the Ibragimov fight, people booing from the 5th on,throwing tomatos and bevriges towards the ring and Wlad apologizeing at the end for this shame to the sport of boxing.Ahhhhhhhhh this entertainment
No I didn't Anyway I still think there are only about 2 HW fighters out there who may pose a challenege to the Klits bros. Povetkin and Chagaev.
''Povetkin's resume can't spell Klitschko''-thank you mr. Tarver He only fought old men, shot old men,and his best win is Chambers where he had some rough moments,Wlad ain't 50 years old or Chambers.Povetkin is gonna be easy work
I don't think Wlad will fight the same way as against Ibragimov, who was a southpaw. I think he will blow away Povetkin in devastating fashion.
:nut Show me a Heavyweight that has the resume in his first 16 fights Povetkin does; even if you can find anyone, it's a damn short list. He'll be the underdog vs Wlad, but don't act like he doesn't deserve the shot.
I never said Povetkin is anything like Ibragimov,I said the fight will be boring like that one.And he is slightly flabby. And he had some rough moments against Chambers who isn't more than a good fighter, just like Povetkin. And I never said anything about his amateur achievements.Didn't Audley Harrison win a olympic gold medal? That got him far:yep .And matched as quickly as him?You must be joking, all those guys he fought were names and that's it.They were grandparents not knowing what they were there for.You probably are talking about a 40 year old Larry Donald who hasn't fought in almost 2years coming off a loss and a draw and who never won a title or hasn't fought since,or Chris Byrd who was 37 years old,a year away from Wlad demolishing him,and we saw how much he had left with George when he really was finished, you might also talk about the Sykes fight, those who saw that disgrace know what happened,no need to talk about it,and of course beating the canadian chef L'Hereux was a great achievement but sadly and weirdly I'm not sold on him:nut .Wlad will take him to school:good
if nothing else this fight has a good chance of being stopped on cuts early. povetkin is a bleeder waiting to happen.
