Lopez with youth, speed and power on his side could force longtime WBC champ Israel Vasquez into retirement, meaning I just don’t see anybody, and I mean anybody, beating Lopez at 122 or 126 lbs. But the fight with Vasquez could be the real test for Juan Ma.......one that he should overcome with no problem, due to the fact that vazquez cuts easy and is easy to hit. LOPEZ SHOULD WIN THIS FIGHT EASY,BY MID-TO LATE STOPPAGE .No need for trilogy here,it only takes one time for Lopez:bbb

The division is looking good, with either Caballero and Molitor unifiying their belts next month. Then we've got Vasquez and Marquez who are both talented and exciting then the young up and comer Lopez. Any fight between; Vasquez, Lopez, Molitor, Marquez or Caballero would be great.

the guy is still untested. He fought PDL but that fight only went 1 round, so we don't know if he gets pulled into deep waters against world class opposition what he will look like. Steve Molitor is another prospect who is an untested title-holder at 122. Moliter vs Cabellero is a good fight. Don't forget that Caballero beat Ponce de Leon pretty easily, and unlike JuanMa, Caballero went 12 rounds against PDL, took his best shots flush on the chin and barely flinched. Props to JuanMa he fnished the fight quickly but at the same time we don't know what happens if the fight goes into the 2nd half, or if JuanMa gets some fierce opposition

these days. Some of us have been saying for awhile now that this kid was the goods - but even we couldn't have foreseen how devastating some of his recent performances have been. He's one of my favorites.

Let me see if I got this right. 'Cause I am kind of slow today. Caballero is tested because he went 12 rounds with PDL, who doesn't even know the meaning of the word "boxing". Juanma is not tested because he destroyed PDL in one round. Did I get it Right???
Caballero went 12 rounds with PDL. Figueroa went 6 or 8 with PDL and lasted 47 seconds with Juanma. Does that means Caballero is capable of lasting 3 rounds with Juanma?????? hehehehehehe:rofl :rofl
I don't think its Juanma's fault they are falling so fast. His corner know he has the potential but needs more rounds. They are not ducking anyone. They will get there, eventually.

You cant use imagination as argument. I think he needs 2 or 3 more fights. But he has excellent skills. Not only a punch. What about if Caballero doesnt last that long????? LEt me tell you something. R. Marquez y I. Vazquez are great fighters with hearts of lions. But everyone knows their defensive skill are average @ best. Not to mention Izzy tend to get cut

yea Caballero is tested cause he went alot of rounds with a world class fighter (Ponce de Leon, although he is a crude slugger, is still a world class fighter). JuanMa put in a great performance, but no matter how good that performance was, he is still pretty untested against world class fighters because his win was so quick.

You can't say because JuanMa knocked PDL out in 1 round, it means that JuanMa would knock out everyone who is not as good as Ponce de Leon in less than 1 round, boxing doesn't work like that. If it did then JuanMa would have nothing but 1st round KO wins, but he has actually had a few fights go the distance against pretty bad opposition. So all I am saying is that he is still not battle tested. It doesn't mean he isn't good.

Vazquez vs JuanMa is a 50/50 fight. Nobody wins against Vasquez easily.

Wake up and stop dreaming! There's gonna be blood before anybody gets declared a winner.

Gerry Penaloza is challenging Juan Ma . . . JuanMa might not even make it past the veteran. :D

Well he is still untested but a great fighter none the less. I want to see him against Gonzalez before he fights Izzy.

Lets analize Penaloza. He has experience. Exactly what Juanma lacks. Almost 2 years ago he lost a UD against PDL in his only fight @122lbsw. HE only threw 481 punches. Connected 36% but we know PDL has no defense. He is 36 and 5'4" . Juanma is 25 and 5'7".

When you say Izzy, I understand he wont be easy for Juanma. But PENALOZA??????? I just cant see how Penaloza could beat Juanma.
I know records its not everything. But I just dont see it.
