I don't think the winner of Hopkins-Calzaghe is the problem (I had Bernard shaving it on cleaner and more accurate work), its the fact that you compared it to Hopkins-Pavlik, which was a total schooling by one fighter over another (not in the same league as Joe-Bernard, no matter what side of the scoring fence you sit on).

I said it was domination, and to me it was, B-Hop physically manhandled Joe the whole fight, in terms of grabbing and holding and walking him all over the ring.

Yep,it did show from Hopkins win over Pavlik just how good Joe Calzaghe is for an "OVERRATED EURO" fighter doesn`t it.It also makes Mikkel Kessler look good because he fought Calzaghe in a really good 12 rd fight, better than even Hopkins did imo although i had Hopkins winning against Calzaghe, just.

last night was simply an amazing fight from a living legend, Calzaghe's win against Hopkins is now getting the respect it deserves, Pavlik didn't know what to do last night and was exposed by Hopkins

For barley beating a 43-year-old Hopkins?

Look everyone knew going into last night's fight how one dimensional predictable his offense. The only way he was going to win was one workrate, taking advantage of Bernards age...

...And that's the only way Calzaghe beat him. The Hopkins that showed up last night, fresh through 12, busy all night - He would have knocked Calzaghe out.

hello why do you think hops wasnt fresh during the cal fight? because joe was draining his freshness. hopkins was fresh last night because he was able to avoid kelly's punches. besides cal had him buzz a few times why do you think he faked a low blow.

if B-hop would have fought against calzaghe like he did against pavlik. It would have ended all the same!!!

The fact that his hit & hold technique made JC look simple, and lost a close decision then JC doesn't deserve any boost on my opinion!!!

Even when Joe dry-humped him in centre ring?

Although I do seem to remember Hopkins physically man-handling his own balls in a fake attempt to grab a breather.

Correct Sir. They still insist that in Vietnam they won on points.

Yeah but Joe Calzaghe the"EURO"fighter didn`t get dominated by Hopkins like Pavlik did.Calzaghe is a class above Pavlik.Even i just had Hopkins the winner against Calzaghe but if Hopkins didn`t hold and take his rests he would`ve given him a good beating and i`m no Calzaghe"nut hanger"either.

Hopkins wasn't allowed to fight like that by Calzaghe. The reason he was able to school Pavlik was because he had a strong advantage in hand and footspeed. Somthing he didn't have against Joe.
