I am sorry, i said he was not Old School.

This was wrote last night, straight after the fight..edited for eastside. Because i posted it eslewhere..

Its half 5 in the morning here in Kirkby, and i am glad to say i have just witnessed the greatest sporting performance i have seen live in the sport of boxing. Coming into this fight i gave Bernard Hopkins a very slim chance, by going on his last performance against Joe Calzaghe. Where both fighters Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins cancelled each other out technically, when great technical fighters meet they sometimes cancel each other out. Bernard Hopkins work rate in the Joe Calzaghe fight dropped dramatically after afew rounds, and it became a rough house type fight.

Kelly Pavlik coming into this fight was the premier middle champion of the world, one of the highest work rates in boxing, pound for pound one of the hardest punches in the game. Technically in knew Bernard Hopkins could not win this fight, by using rough house old school spoiler tactics, in which he tried to employee against Joe Calzaghe.

Tonight i saw Bernard Hopkins and witnessed the returned of the executioner, the X - man has been gone..gone since the Antonio Tarver fight.

Bernard Hopkins is a 43 years old man, 44 in 5 months fighting young in prime fighters..Kelly Pavlik is 17 years Bernard Hopkins Junior. 4 1/2 years inside the belly of the beast, forced to fight far past his prime to gain the respect.

James Toney..and Bernard Hopkins are the last remaining old school technical fighters active in the game today. Roy Jones is Roy Jones Junior not old school..not new school..superman.

I am in aura, i am glad today...that i can say i witnessed it. The unbeaten Middle weight champion Kelly Pavlik dismantled, took to school, out worked. By a 43 year old athlete, a man that did 4 1/2 years inside..in jail..removed from his primed, forced to fight beyond his prime years to gain the respect..master a legend a ****ing a legend..

    For 12 rounds...for 12 rounds.

Bernard Hopkins the former middle weight champion, Light Heavyweight champion, and the longest reigning middleweight champion of all - time a decade..10 years of dominance.

Became the X-man tonight, the return..!

    Hats off to Bernard Hopkins..

For me this upstages anything..that has happened in the Olympics this year. I did not think it was possible, like many sports writers, people even thought Bernard Hopkins was going to get knocked out. Freddie Roach parted ways with Bernard Hopkins after his last fight, and said he was worried for Bernard Hopkins and wanted him to retire after his last fight......

Immense tonight, and in round 7 i think it was, i started to cry slightly..when i saw Bernard Hopkins turn back the clock...

    Thank You

i second that. i:good 've been a hard-core fan since the second echols fight, in which b-hop destroyed the most feared puncher at the time with one hand unleashing the rage of a cornered and wounded lion, i knew he was special. i also want to thank the great for once again proving the world wrong including myself. i'd really like to make it a goal to attend one of his last fights, we need to back him up alittle more. i'm still a fan of kelly's, he'll be back

First of all, who are you to question if a HOF ATG fighter is old school or not?

You yourself is nothing but a poser.

I am glad you admit you are wrong, now go back to school.
