Fed's been on top of his game for a few years. His achievements are more comparable to BHops's - Kelly hasn't achieved all that much.

    Pavlik was massively over-rated.

All of Abraham, Winky, Kessler, Calzaghe, Dawson would beat him between 160-175.

Roger Federer is one of the most accomplished Tennis Players of all time. Pavlik has won one world class fighter.

Hype plays a major role here, especially the way they promoted this fight which was 100% pro Pavlik all the way. When Hopkins was mentioned he was mentioned with "Will he get knocked out?", like they used a possibility of him getting KO'd to promote the fight with the rest all to Pavlik.

Also, it was more Hopkins' performance and ability that made it look like Pavlik had a bad night.

My point is boxing fans are just so quick to call someone a hype job.

Give the man a chance to redeem himself.

Im sure Federer had some unexpected losses as he was rising through the ranks.

Agree with your point but you used a bad example......Federer is going to go down as one of the best sportsmen thats ever lived. Bad choice.

Who cares about my example my point is everyone just wants to hate on Kelly beacause hes a fresh talent.
Hopkins win does nothing for boxing imo.

Cant we just say bad luck, better luck next time for once.

No, everyone was just fed up of the ridiculous hype and over rating of Pavlik, saying that he'd smash up every boxer from 160-175. Saying that boxers were running scared. So many Pavlik fans were attacking Calzaghe, and it's kind of sweet to the Calzaghe fans that he got SCHOOLED against a fight that Calzaghe beat a few months back.

I hope Pavlik comes backs strong. He's an exciting fighter, a nice guy and a credit to the sport, but the hype was ridiculous.

Is very ironic & strange that when Trinidad was defeated by BHop many people was saying that Trinidad was onedimentional and even overrated, now i see a lot of people saying a thousands excuses for Pavlik who lost to a 7 years older version than Trinidad Fought and by the way that Tito was a natural 147 fighter,,,Amazing
