These always wrong but won't admit it types have gotten old:roll:
Almost every regular on this forum said pavlik would outlast and overpower hopkins. Now that hops owned pavlik like enzo calz said he would, more and more calz haters are coming back up with the notion
    that hops beat joe.
    :patsch

Listen, joe beat hops who beat pavlik. Joe doesn't need to fight pavlik now. Stop with the disrespect of the man. hate him but accept that
he has beaten the best of the americans(except dawson). He is a winner with a crowd pleasing style. Joe doesn't have to rematch bernie.
He only needs to cash out against jones(who will lose to joe in an entertaining match-up, moreso than if joe fought kelly) and he will have earned the right to hang up his gloves w/ pride. In the history books, no one will care about haters. they will look at joe's record and cross reference it with other fighters of his era, and acknowledge that calz
    was a GREAT fighter.
P.S. Joe is also respecting up-and-comers like dawson i.e. by bowing out and passing the torch, unlike some who keep hanging around like
hops. Instead of demanding that joe fight dawson, how about we demand that hops fight dawson.
    :good

Probably an inadvertant sign of respect to Joe in demanding that he and not Hopkins fight Dawson. They all know but won't admit that Joe Cal is the superior fighter and poses the most risk to up and comer Dawson. I wouldn't be surprised though that after he demolishes Jones that Joe takes that fight with Dawson to completely cement his legacy as one of the greats. BTW Joe will toy with Dawson.

Shut up Calzaghe lovers and stop trying to milk Hopkins win to prop up the medeocre hack whose reflected glory you live in. :good:nono :patsch

Anyway, Joe does not need to fight Pavlik. You are correct. Nothing changes the fact however that Joe has left his run at greatness way too late and not established himself long enough at the high ranks to be as respected at the level you want him to be. People in history will notice that he only left Europe when he was 35. People will notice a lot of flaws in his resume. Don't take it personally, it's not you fault. It's his.

No he 'dominated' the Super Middleweight division for 10 years by defending the WBO belt in Britain and Europe. He unified the titles by beating Kessler, and then came to America to conquer the last frontier, taking on a 43 year old Hopkins. He won that and now he will fight a shot legend and retire undefeatedc with nothing left to prove. Calzaghe top 10 all p4p all time.

It's funny how the Calzaghe idiots think joe c was the guy who won last night.... Hops was excellent last night. But he beat the MW champ @ 170.

No, what's funny is that Calzaghe's performance against Hopkins was dismissed outright by Calzaghe haters/Hopkins nuthuggers who stated Joe ONLY won because Hopkins was a shot, finished fighter

Now that argument has been proven to be garbage, because that loss is sandwiched between two of Bernard's most impressive victories

Actually, last night only proved Hopkins can beat Pavlik. A 26yo MW fighting at 170. Doesn't mean **** in terms og calzaghe, and nor does it mean Calzaghe gets an automatic W over Pavlik.

If Pavlik came back in his very next fight and beat a top 168 or 175er, THEN Hopkins win would be more impressive. And that's not to say it wasn't, but TRY to take into consideration other aspects that played their roll last night.

It also proves that the "oh BHop was just too old" bull**** excuse after the Joe C fight is garbage, Joe C beat Hopkins.
