Loew Is Tactically Ticked Off That People Think Hopkins Is Joe Slick

I don't think Pavlik should have more tricks in the bag. The more pavlik thinks, the more of an edge B-Hop has. If Pavlik maintains a consistent work rate and doesnt get flustered by b-hops antics or overthinking, it is all but certain Kelly will win this fight.

Jack Loew should be apologizing to Pavlik for blowing smoke up his ass. Loew is the Sarah Palin of boxing trainers; way in over his head. Pavlik had one of the worst gameplans I have ever seen in a prizefight of this magnitude.

The fact they kept talking about stopping Hopkins and the fact that they seemed more focused on Calzaghe says a lot about Team Pavlik. Did you see the countdown show? While Loew was talking all this bull**** about stopping Hopkins, Merchant and Lampley were commenting how it was crazy talk to think anyone could beat Hopkins via stoppage.

 

Loew was right. Pavlik didn't throw 1-2's down the middle. Hopkins was countering him or getting out of the way before Pavlik could even get off his 1-2 punches.

Loew should apologize to Pavlik as Big Reg said, and then quit.

 

At the final press conference the quote I took from it was hopkins stating that on saturday "I will bring my styles to the ring, which are many. And he will bring his, which are few".

 

yep. loew can only take kelly so far. it's time to step aside and kelly's gonna probably have to leave the comfort of home like most pros do. it's probably the hardest thing kelly has to do, but he has no choice imo. he needs more bounce in his toes and needs to work on his speed pretty bad, offensively and defensively.
