According to BN this week, these two to face each other in a British Title eliminator. Big step up for Sykes this and it'll only be his 10th pro fight.

Haven't seen him fight, so if you have how do you rate his chances? His people must think it's a winnable fight otherwise they wouldn't take it. Plus Carl is a fading fighter now.

think they've thrown sykes in a bit too deep imo. Johanneson may not be at the peak of his powers, but he still gave mitchell hell, and his skills are pretty decent. his punch resistence not great, but sykes doesnt seem a particulary hard hitter to me, plus i remember him getting hurt and being wide open in the only full fight i've seen him against dwayne hill.

Sykes has looked impressive thus far, but this is a big step up. By no means a given for a Johanneson win, but he should.

Johanneson would destroy Gomez again - but not without another rough ride. Carl himself said that Gomez would give Khan fits, and he did for four rounds or so.

Mikey was moaning about the stoppage but I felt it was perfectly timed.

i think it would be different this time, the fight came too quick into gomez's comeback 18 months out. this time i think it would go the other way and johannesons inactivity would catch up with him.
either way it would be another *******
