Calzaghe "I don't do rematches"

Correct.

Joe won 7 of the last 8 rounds on two judges' cards. In other words, once he figured out what to do with Bernard he did it, and did it well. The only thing that would change in the rematch would be that Calzaghe would not take 4 rounds to figure out what was going to come his way. The fight reminded me a lot of Clottey-Margarito. Clottey looked great for about 4 rounds, and then got shut down.

Bernard clinched, faked the damage of low blows, faked receiving low blows, bitched to the referee, used his head and one-punch-and-grabbed for the majority of the fight. Calz landed more punches on BHop than any other previous opponent had. It wasn't that great of a fight, and even with all of his tricks, Bernard didn't do as well as many want to pretend that he did.

I love Hopkins and Calzaghe both, but the rematch would be even more lopsided in Calz' favor. And the most important lesson from the Pavlik-Hopkins fight is that Joe Calzaghe is a Hall of Fame fighter.

If Calz beats RJJ -- and that is definitely not a given -- then the only fight I want to see him make is with Dawson. Bernard has already said he's only going to be around until like early next year (although I'm sure that could change) as a fighter. If that is the time frame here then I hope Calz would use it to challenge Bad Chad.

The fight I most want to see with BHop is a rematch with Jones. I would definitely put down some money to watch that.

It might be a new policy but when they tried to get him to rematch Byron Mitchell he refused that also.

And btw, i know lightyears more about boxing than you and so does teddy atlas, and we both agreed that one man won that fight. Calzaghe! and atlas is notoriously pro american fighters. So whatcha

Joe beat Hops...just ask for the rematch and stop crying about it. If they dont give it, then look for another great opponent. You're contradicting yourself when you claim Hops only fights the best fighter around, and then belittle Calzaghe, the one you want Hops to have a rematch with.

I agree that Bhop did earn the opportunity to fight the winner of the Jones/Clazaghe bout...and i think that if there is a mandate for the winner to face Bhop next year, and if Joe wins, Calzaghe/Hopkins II will indeed happen!! If that fight does not happen, I, along with most fight fans, will be very disappointed!!

Bias and then some - and it ain't just this thread. Some of these people could give a **** about anything other than the fact that a fighter happens to be born in the UK. It's not a people thing whatsoever with these FAKE phonies. Boxing is an international sport, if you don't have love and support for any and every fighter in this game you need your ****ing head examined.
