America will hate it if Calzaghe retires 46-0

    I think I have finally began to understand where this constant negative American media about Joe Calzaghe comes from. I think America cannot stand to see Joe retire unbeaten and will constantly stick unproven fighters like Pavlik up on pedastels in order to try and get Calzaghe to fight 1 fight to many. If he beats RJJ convincingly he will have nothing left to prove. There is no one left out there that is 100% proven and deserves a fight with Joe, and it is disrespectful to say that his record would be tarnished if he didnt fight the next American hype, sorry hope.

    The Dawson train is the latest train, when Dawson loses he will probably have to face Klitschko to finally prove himself, before jumping in a time machine and facing Leonard, Louis, Hagler, Hears, Foreman, Duran and Marciano all in 1 night.

    I would have liked him to fight an out and out 175'er like Dawson, Tarver or Johnson to put a stamp on the whole light heavy champ issue, but all in all, this pretty much rings through.

    Calzaghe fans are easily the most annoying on this forum. The typical American has no idea who Calzaghe is. The American boxing media has been pretty accomidating to Joe. Showtime aired many of his shitty fights and now HBO is letting him headline a ppv and are even doing a 24/7 series. This despite his ratings on HBO being garbage.

    and when he batters a defenceless dawson who next??? you will always have someone to throw at him,it is absolute bollocks just get over it and admit he is great as us brits do if we see a good american fighter.
