Pavlik showed real promise and heart in there. I think if this had been a 15 round fight, he would have taken it.
not so sure about fraud...he did ko pantera then JT back to back...the guy moved up a weight and fought a legend...yeah he got smoked but he still accomplished alot and may have a bright future
ur obviously kidding...and u fail for being so ****ing goofyatsch it isnt even funny or at all believable
I really believe that he could beat him if they fought again-- maybe even KO Hopkins. The bile is aimed at you your knowledge of boxing equals your IQ
I said it many times before the fight, Pavlik's punches at 160 would not be the same at 170, and the punches received would be much heavier than what he was accustomed to. Bernard is not only an elite fighter, he's a big dude. Ask Calzaghe .
naw man kelly is a good fighter, and he beats pretty much every 1 else he fights from here on out but it was a bad match up kelly had no business taking that fight (3 mill) b hop knew how to beat him and thats that
true pantera the same guy who got exposed by abraham to be honest. JT was a disaster waiting to happen after going with emanuel nothing seemed to work for him he was going downhill from there. in his rematch he was back with his old trainer and did very good after being away from his old style for so long. a fighter built on hype is a fraud .. and was exposed that night.
If Pavlik had a chance of winning in a rematch he would have been competitive that night. He wasn't, I was expecting a Hopkins win but he made it look effortless. He toyed with Pavlik at times and Kelly was and always would be hopelessly outclassed by Hopkins. In 15 rounds Pavlik would have been stopped. At the end of the fight who was the fatigued, tired, and beaten up man? The 26 year old was.
Nah, the weight is no excuse. HIs power would be greater, but his speed might not be the same. Did he not fight over 160 with the rematch of Taylor? Now if he would have lost the rematch with Taylor, these same excuses would arise. It is true, he is one demensional. He is still young and could possibly change up some of his arsenal. Pavlik will someday be a LHW so the weight was no factor. Hopkins knew exactly how to beat him. Oh, want happened to plan B and C that Pavlik's trainer was talking about before the fight?
He sure did toy with him. I liked the SRL punch he hit him with. Pavlik seemed to be mad and wanted to fight Hopkins at the final bell????
Agreed. All I heard froom Kelly's corner was the same thing I heard when Kelly was having problems against Taylor in the rematch "Double the jab and throw the right hand"....think thats plan A, B, and C....guess what Jack? That doesn't work against everybody!atsch Kelly has been trained to be one-dmiensional....but that one dimension has brought him success so they thought, why deviate from it? Same thing that happened with Tito....
