there is also white people in latin countries. think of gisele bündchen, she is white, no one would say she is a latina because (though she is brazilian). vicente fox is also mexican, but he is as spanish as you can be (spanish=caucasian), he looks like a spanish plantation owner. i don't know about de la hoya but he looks pretty spanish to me, or maybe he has mixed ancestors. latino is not a race, you have either whites, indigenous or mixed.

 

Well considering that Mexicans are race -- one could say a mixture of different cultures, similar but not to the extent of Brazil. I believe most Mexicans are either -- completely from Spaniard decent (which makes them white basically), or a mixture of Spaniard and the indigenous people (Natives, which some people call the Red race), or completely of indigenous (native/red race) ancestry. Oscars mother and father LOOK like they are they are mixture of Spaniard and Indigenous people, at least this is what makes sense to me, given that the Spaniards took away the Natives land. This is a stupid discussion anyways, a man can be whatever he wants to be. Oscar is a Mexican-American.

And whoever mentioned Obama, stop it. I have uncles who look like Obama and my grandmother and father are black -- the thing is I have white, Native, and mostly black ancestry. My mother is light skinned, but my father is dark skinned, and I came out dark. It's genetics.

Most people are mixed in with something. And in any case most people are brown skinned -- blacks, natives, and whatever. Brown or Olive skinned -- most people on the earth are brown skinned.
