Okay Calzaghe fans, you guys are INSANE

How many people are really claiming its a hugely meaningful fight for Calzaghe?

Let's have an example of all these fans, perhaps starting outside Pugilist64.

 

I see Jones fans are trying to cover the fact that he is bigger, and more clever than he used to be, and assuming Calzaghe is still the peter pan/Dorian Gray of boxing, the only boxer who doesn't age or go in decline.

 

What if Jones makes Joe look like Mr. Bean with boxing gloves on? What if Roy actually looks good doing it?

 

I beleive I am one of the first Calzaghe fans. Im one of the few who have a Calzaghe based screen name from before the Lacy win.

And i agree, beating RJJ right now means nothing historically. just a pension boosting fight to me... Im still gonna happily stay up to the early hours and watch it though...

 

spot on. there are a number of calzaghe fans on here who are perfectly aware that this fight is nothing more than a money spinner and does nothing for joe's legacy.

So Joe can't beat someone around his age, who is dangerous, and get credit, where Toney becomes a legend because he beat Holyfield, and always gets mentioned as his impressive scalp...

puglisit is a trolling wanker. he does not represent the opinion of level headed calzaghe fans. just like posters such as unbeatablefloyd do not represent the general feeling of normal floyd fans such as yourself.

sadly calzaghe does seem to attract an abnormal number of jingoistic ****s who blab on about americans not respecting him etc. strangely an awful lot of these appear to be english.

 

Lol even jones is his prime would still loose to calzaghe.
